ORIGINAL: PeonForHer JLF, Americans are the majority, by far. Wearing the flag just doesn't mean the same thing. Fux News knows this. In the UK, Jamaicans sometimes throw the Jamaican flag around. Who cares? It's not as if the UK is ever going to be in danger of becoming a 'second Jamaica'. I have to say, if I were in charge of a bunch of bratty violent teenagers who were spoiling for a fight, I'd adopt the same policy as the school principal, here. They'll have rules imposed on them that they won't like till they can stop acting like bratty violent teenagers, and that's that. High Moral Principles are for grown ups, not for childish little gits who are in search of any reason at all to divide the world into 'good guys' and 'bad guys' and therefore a reason to beat each other up. Personally, in that principal's postion, any kid who broke my rule, I'd pack off home so that he could express his principles vociferously in front of the mirror, along with expressing the pus from his adolescent pimples. Kids can be, and generally are, admirably idealistic, but at absolutely the same time, utterly nasty, selfish little twats. This is why adults' ethical principles aren't applied to them in exactly the same way as they are to adults. you do realize that those bratty violent teenagers are not the ones being told they can't wear the shirts right? They are the ones who the principal is afraid is going to start shit if they see a flag they don't like. But I agree they would have rules imposed on them that they won't like till they can stop acting like bratty violent teenagers, and that's that.
