I am looking for a good book on Hitler/The SS and the Occult. Please not looking for conspiracy theory books. I've read those till I am blue in the face.

I want something that is a serious book with out pulling out the boogy man and going booga booga

I highly recommend Masters of Death - The SS Einsatzgruppen and the invention of the Holocaust by Richard Rhodes.

Joachim Fest possibly wrote the best biography on Hitler, but he didn't really focus on the occult, there are a lot of theories about how the Nazi cult sprang from the occult but mainly conspiracy theories, there are also contradicting reports that he relied on sooth sayers and all that. What might have played a part was that Hitler was always trying to resurrect old Germanic (Viking) heritage and some people claim it stretched to Wotan cults. There isn't a lot of evidence, most of it is really conspiracy cults. There are some more credible comments that when it was clear that his plans for world domination seemed to fail, that Hitler kind of tried to seek refuge in the occult, plus the fact that he survived a lot of assassination attempts, which I personally would rather put down to luck and spies.

I've done some research on the subject. I don't think there was much more than occult trappings to Hitler and the Nazi's actions. I'd try mainstream material on the Nazi movements early days.

Get any books on Heinrich Himmler, he formed an arm of the ss to search the world for artifacts that promoted the Aryan supremacy idea, he also created a mythology for the SS that included the Nordic gods, the round table, and had the ss collect all religious artifacts to give the Germans power to defeat the enemy, including the spear of destiny.

As for the rest, here is a good start.

As I said, Himmler did more to create and further the Nazi occult ties than any other Nazi leader. He took what Hitler wrote and ran with it.

If I still worked at the bookstore,I could have sold you a hole box of books on the subject for a few bucks,but alas,those days are long gone.

Have a look at the Thule Society.

The German high command in WWII were very much involved with the Thule Society and Teutonic mysticism.

You want to know about Hitler and the occult but not conspiracy theories ? I don't think they can be mutually exclusive.

Occult, def. No. 1: of or pertaining to magic, astrology, or any system claiming use or knowledge of secret or supernatural powers or agencies.
