Status: offline 		I am a fan of Neil Diamond. I don’t think there is a song of his I don’t like (but only if I pretend that The Pot Smoker’s Song doesn't exist). I was listening to Done Too Soon this morning and thought to myself that this song is beginning to get a bit dated. It was first written . . . I dunno . . . quite some time ago. Since then several other people of note have arisen only to be done too soon. I think it’s time for Neil to add a new stanza, list some new names.

I humbly suggest the following names:

Carl Sagan – He had more to tell us about the wonders of the universe.

Ossama Bin Laden – Just keep the song’s listing of a few notorious individuals going.

Philip Seymour Hoffman – So many great performances we will never see.

What other names do you think should be added and why?

And any other Neil diamond talk is cool.

ETA: and Nelson Mandela. How the hell could I forget Nelson Mandela?

Bo loves playing his songs though...when I was living with him, Sunday was for kicking back, smoke and listen to him play (after the clothes were done).
