Ever since my first port call in Yokosuka I’ve had a fascination with the Japanese culture and the ability to mix memes and have a darn good result. I followed a news link and found a reference to “Babymetal” on a sidebar. Take a look at young teen head bangers celebrating eating chocolate. If you are like me you start out a bit dumfounded but end up tapping the toe listening to this.

Babymetal performing “Gimme Chocolate”

Another mixed meme I ran across a couple of years ago:
Only the Japanese could take a 16 year old Swedish fellow and let him cross-dress into fame and fortune as a shred metal guitarist. Have look at Yohio.

Sorry, that ain't music, it's instant headache.

From an ex Radio Caroline rodie and original head-banger rock freak - that's saying something.

So was there a really crazy night in Tokyo, when Pantera fucked The Wiggles?

I love metal. I was expecting the chics to actually growl. Of course they might have. I turned it off when I heard them singing the first few words.

Um.... Yohio was 16 when that vid was made and he was a 16 year old Swedish dude.

I had great fun by printing out one of his fan pictures and sticking it up at my desk at work. All the dudes wanting to know who the "fox" was. I let it go on for the while before letting the YDFC contingent know they had the hots for a dude. (Yes, I have an evil sense of humor at times.)

That has to be the most hilarious treatment of blatantly racist stereotypes I've seen in quite a while.

Huh?

And I thought it was an excerpt from a Klan propaganda video showing what happens when the people they hate are allowed to run rampant.
Meh, I guess "in your face" vulgarity must be fashionable.
Yep, I'm an old fart. I remember when if a stripper did "twerking" on stage the place would have been shut down.

Its was fun, thank you for sharing. Babymetal were not completely new to me, I've seen another clip of them in the past.
Now also I have to protest a bit, it were no Death metal there, but ok nevertheless.
