I don't know if are primal sexual drive has anything to do with reproduction at all Reproduction is dangerous as hell on a primal level, and is counter to almost all our other primal instincts. once the bun is in the oven, other instincts kick in maybe we're looking at it the wrong way nature tricked us,by giving us a sexual drive we are hardwired to want sex and reproduction is just a symptom take a look at bunnies,we all know they reproduce, but bunnies will abandon their kin at the slightest sign of trouble. nature made them the way they are so they can live to reproduce another day,but it's the last thing on their mind, they just want humpy jumpy time.the nurturing of their young is an additional instinct, separate in their brain and probably in ours too even heterosexual young men aren't thinking"oh yeah,I wanna reproduce with her",instead, they're thinking"I wanna have sex with her",they just forget the rubber and there you go as far as sexuality,i've read up on the whole homosexuality is a passed down trait thing, and there's some truth and untruths to it.I forget the exact study, and wont bother looking it up,but a study taken of twins(where one was homosexual)found that the heterosexual twin was often alot more promiscuous then their piers, and alot less discerning bout sexual partners.Genetic predisposition to homosexuality might just be related to a promiscuity gene. There's also alot to say bout the environment of an individual growing up and how their sexuality develops(homo and hetro). They might be primal urges, but our own experienced might reprogram ourselves a bit.
