Welcome to the non-profile side of CM Tim.

We're less about partner finding here and more about discussions and fun games and a (scary) politics and religion section.

There are a few from Orange County on the boards so stick around maybe one of them will chime in. I know there are tons of groups in your area, so looking there is the right way to go.

This side of CM is great for educational purposes, so feel free to begin your own thread if you have a specific question.

Welcome to the thread side Tim,

I would also like to suggest that if you're looking for someone to show you the ropes, that you join a local group and get a mentor, as opposed to asking your partner to be.

reading is generally my number one suggestion, and you will find a lot of stickies here that show what a wonderful selection of reading material.

you can check the search section of the forum, and read threads spaced on your search words.

Enjoy.

as well as finding a mentor I guess I am looking for a fellow newbie like me to hang out with as well so we can learn n experience things together and talk about it n what not weather it be actually physically together at times or off on our own but able to talk later about it later if that makes any sense...

Tim yes it does make sense. Not so sure you will find a mentor per-say here, but many of the people here are real life couples and many of the others have been in the life style awhile. If you take a look around you can see how this works and most likely pick up some good tide bits of info.

For the real life mentoring, though I do not use fetlife myself, I have heard that you can find munches all around the country from there. If you are not apposed to going to a munch I have heard some good things about them and you might be able to find a mentor there. If not the people at them may be able to help guide you to one.

Hopefully you will find that in which you seek. [:D]

You may want to check out Fet...they will list local groups and events. You will find a greater number of people in your area that you can meet. CM is a great resource but one big prob in making friends is that you often "click" with a person you never will meet.

It makes sense, and so does sticking around here and meeting friends in the online forum.
We are a great group and very varied in our knowledge, experiences and opinions.

Welcome & I hope you find what you're looking for. I think for a longer term mentor I would first go to local activities & meet some people there. Find some that you click with and ask one of them.
