I can understand why a con would want to argue such things, they have a reputation for not respecting the opinions and views of others... Not saying you're a redneck warf, was just a phrase I used for emphasis

I wasn't aware that "cons" had a reputation for arguing against the belief that everyone else's god is false and that anyone who disagrees is delusional. In fact, some people would say that's exactly the view they support.

But hey, by all means make up whatever shit helps you feel comfy.

I enjoy knowledge. I am not stupid. My IQ is average.

I believe you about your IQ but you are constantly missing even the most obvious things. I don't think it's because you're stupid I think it's because of the way you're misusing your mind.

There's absolutely no reason you can't become an intellectual, you'd just need to stop letting your subconscious lead you around and exercise your intellect.

I believe I have spoke of this before. I was once given an offer by the Devil. I turned it down. I was promised three things. The inference (implicit, but not explicit) was if I turned down the offer I would never be loved. That I would be a loser. If that was a prophecy made by the Devil in a sense the prophecy has come true. All I had to do was walk away. I instead remained at her side.

Christ called such a person a fool. He does not condemn the fool, however, because God played the fool. The dogs and swine are cursed, but not the fool. Though the dogs and swine dishonor the fool, God does not. Our Lord simply did not want us to needlessly play the fool and suffer the same fate for compassion sake. He was just saying be careful. He said in effect I love you.

Oops, did I just pull that out of my subconscience? chatterbox24 I hope you get a laugh out of this. What I am talking about should become more clear once you see the film.

Pray tell, what obvious things in your mind do you think I am missing? That you stated you were a Christian once, didn't receive a lightening bolt of all knowingness, and stepped away? That I asked you if you felt you were never wrong, and I didn't make assumptions based on what you said? I wanted to see how you would respond. TO clarify, my mind does not compute that  you were wrong, it computed that you had serious doubts and stepped away. Are they not two separate things? In addition to that, I knew you were wrong (granted to be fair this is a very personal opinion, and don't think I don't have that in mind). The wisest men of the world are ones who not only have intellect but also believe in something higher, greater, beyond. That's my spin on it.

I have had a situation which I can totally relate. I am a person who if I feel convicted to do something, I really do not care if people say FOOL FOOL FOOL, especially if its just a cast out opinion and I consider where that opinion is coming from. If I feel convicted, that it is the right thing, I will move forward. I am not one to stand in huddles and follow the crowd. I have not a problem going against the grain.  Have I been a fool for the wrong reasons before? ha YES! Was it misdirected? YES! Could it happen again? Of course, but I do try to be careful of my choices now, and its made a huge difference with guidance.

The chimp pimp statement means nothing to me yet. LOL. I did look for the movie but its not on Netflix, and I was busy, but I will watch it by another means.

Anybody consider that a valid rephrasing of what I said?

Well, snarking me about thinking I'm never wrong in response to my post where I'm talking about how I'd been wrong does seem pretty silly.

We recently talked about how you misunderstood DC's post.

I won't even get into your kerfluffle with freedomdwarf.

Then there's this: "I am very plain spoken. Some think it is a gift, some think it is stupid." Being plain spoken is so not the issue.

Doesn't seem like you grasp what's going on here at all: http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=4665954

Should I keep going?

By all means try and actually explain that point or any point you ever make instead of just asserting it.

Since the dogs and swine are cursed it is important to know what the dogs and swine refer to. It is an analogy. From what I've read on the topic it refers to people who are exclusively interested in satisfying their desires or needs. In other words those who are without morals being no better than an animal.

The problem is feelings of righteousness also have an animalistic character. Thus, there is a need for objectivity.

The atheists argue that their is no need to be better than. It is simply a matter of having a better recipe for satisfying one's desires or needs. Hence, there is no need to be moral. Hence, atheists are cursed.
