As has been said, depends on what you are looking for and what kind of budget you have. You can do a great deal on a small budget by making smart purchases. If you learn rope bondage, you can eliminate the need for expensive cuffs and the like, and just use rope. You may want a good professionally made flogger or two - if you get a nice thumpy one like elk or moose and a stingy one like latigo or round braids, you can cover a wide range of sensations with just the two. For something ultra-soft, you can make yourself a rope flogger. I just got a fantastic large oval wood hairbrush from Walmart for about $8 which will make a great paddle as well as touch on some fetish interests of mine. A riding crop with a wide flapper has a lot of possibilities. A bunny fur is great for sensual play, as is a "sleep mask" style blindfold. Realistically, you can spend next to nothing to literally thousands of dollars on toys - it depends on your personal tastes and your budget. I happen to have a lot of toys that I've amassed over the years and while I do indeed enjoy them all, I'll be the first person to say that they're certainly NOT all necessary. In fact, my "basic" toybag that I take out often only has 2 floggers, a signal whip, a paddle, and occasionally some wrist cuffs.
