While Republicans held the congressional seat for four decades until Young’s death last year, the district’s voters favored Obama in the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections. The district is 37 percent Republican, 35 percent Democrat and 24 percent independent.

Now the Republican has to show he can 'bring home the bacon' for his area or face off against a well polished Democrat the next time around. Kind of like Scott Brown from Massachusetts. He knew he would get pummeled in an open election. An so too with this Republican....

FL-13 was EXACTLY the kind of seat Democrats needed to get to 17.

Status: offline 		Perhaps you can tell us how Russia is a 'problem' geopolitically that anyone in the world ain't or that stands them out from any other nation on earth.

What is the 'problem' 'geopolitically' exactly?  Are they not situated on the earth, is their economy such that they dont use money?  Do they not exist next to other nations; that is, are they a heavenly body?

Do you know what geopolitics means?  How about problem, know what that means? Do you know what would be necessary and sufficient conditions for there to be a geopolitical problem? 

Then, when you get done with understanding the terms, explain how they are 'our number one geopolitical foe', what is what the nutsacker magic underpants romney actually said in full drool.

Explain it in terms of geopolitics, please (softly, what with China right next door, and the Middle East just to their south) dont want to wake them boys up.

Israel has a number one geopolitical foe.  You can do the math. (hint: The entire middle east and north africa).

Alex Sink is indeed female, but Mitt Romney (whom 'Tail was referring to), is male. Honestly, you should really try to be well informed on these things....

It was as pretty a district as the dimocrats will find this election cycle - with a democrat leaning electorate, in a disctrict obama carried in both the last elections. With Alex Sink out-raising her opponent 3-1, and with much better name recognition - in fact the best known democrat in the state, with the possible exception of charlie crist.

And with a libertarian 3rd party candidate sponsored by the dimocrats that siphoned off 5% of the vote. And Sink *STILL* lost by 3%. Spin all you like but this was a disaster for the dims

Don't watch fox news. Don't own a TV. Do subscribe to several dimocrat email broadcasts, including Sierra Club, Harry Reid's, Nancy Pelosi's. Nice to see the drivel first hand.

Jolly - a flawed candidate (*lobbyist*) won.
Sink outraised Jolly 3:1.
District trends Democrat.
Libertarian candidate siphoned off 5% of the vote.
Sink Lost.

More importantly, trends are for pubs to pick up the seats necessary to take the Senate. Who's drinking the coolaid?

Lets see, recent polls are that when asked to pick a strong leader, Putin or obama the results were 87%... Putin. And the democrats disastrous foreign policy is quite likely to take another huge hit Monday if (when?) Russian crosses the Ukrainian border despite stiff.. (stiff I say!!) consequences.

You better listen to me. Those consequences will be.. Stiff. We're going to not send the presidential delegation to the para olympics!

Ooh.. that showed him Obama!

I have seen those thread and watched some giggle and snort over the idea that they have any clue what the other 1/2 of the country is thinking. Entertaining for a bit but that usually comes when they get their hands slapped.
