Anyone else having 70 degree weather one day, and almost blizzardly conditions the next? Talk about extremes.

Well, it was fifty degrees yesterday and that big snow storm is right on top of me now. It's not all bad, though. I've got the day off of work (pretty much everyone has the day off). I think I'll clean out my storage closet (it's overdue) and then, after lunch, take a nap.

Last week, we hit 88 degrees, then next morning it was 19 degrees.

For two days we had weather in the 40's, the ice and snow was melting. My friend and I took a nice drive in the country, enjoying the brief peeks of bare grass. The sun was shining, and there was a thrilling sense of hope that spring always brings. Today I woke up to about 3 or 4 inches of snow. . Gahhhh. I decided that today I was going to go back to bed and hibernate, then I said no way! I'm going to do spring cleaning so that when the weather gets nice again it will be done and I can hit the bike trails free of any nagging sense that I have things undone at home.

We've had almost no winter weather. Winter is our rainy season and temperatures are usually high 50's to low 60's.

We've only had a few days of rain and our temperatures have been consistently in the 70's and 80's...and we even had a day that hit 90.

Quite a pistol lately she has been.

SHe might be going thru menopause like me, HEY HEY HEY she needs some cohosh in abundance.
I for one will appreciate spring, but according to the farmers almanac, summer might be a doozey. Its pretty accurate, but ya know how that's goes, things can turn on a dime.

I think its bullshit and I'm so sick of winter here in NH I can't even deal with the fact we might get two feet of snow tonight, like I might cry. I'm so ready for spring.

60 yesterday, 30 tomorrow. But the snow is all going north of us. Between 8 and 9 tonight it should drop over 10 degrees with the rain turning into sleet, freezing rain and ice covered roads. My oldest is working tonight, hotel two miles away, but up the mountain. Odds are she won't be able to drive home.

good news is that midweek they are given guest rooms for free if they can't leave. So she's looking forward to a king size bed and premium movie channels, things she doesn't get at home.

Crazy it is! We had the warmest winter in 30 years. Hardly saw some snow. The thermometer on my terrace went over 20 c today. But it does get direct sunlight. Met office said 13 c in my area.

not right now,the weather's been beautiful since the end of January...it only got a lil chilly in December.

Years ago when I worked in a particularly inhospitable stretch of desert,it wasn't unusual that it would be somewhere in the low forties with a cold wet wind freezing you to the bone in the wee hours of the morning, only to get 100 plus by noon.....I don't miss that job so much anymore lol

And in years past, the desert has thrown quiet a few odd weather phenomena into the mix.like the year it got to 100 in February and froze in April, laying down a foot of snow.....

I was so happy yesterday. It was warm, 53 degrees. The sun was shining, I even saw a robin. There was joy finally in my life. Today, Mother Nature hit the brown acid. Blizzard conditions! What the hell?
