My list:

A piece of the giant globe that used to grace the museum at National Geographic.
A Latin breviary, bound in red leather, that belonged to the bishop of my childhood diocese.
The college diploma of a former housemate I haven't seen since the Reagan Administration.
The Confirmation certificate of a fellow parishioner who died in 2008.
The cremains of a dead friend's cat.
My wisdom teeth, extracted in 1983.
A three-foot-long model of the S.S. Normandie.
Tea towels from the queen's golden and diamond jubilees.
The metal pins that held my arm together after I broke it in 1992.
A Ravenclaw coffee mug.
Autographed pictures of Adam West and Patrick Stewart.
A first edition copy of Edith Bolling Wilson's memoir.
A Ziploc bag of frozen suet.
Another of (nonfrozen) peacock blue Lego.
Two boxes of 3.5" diskettes.
The handwritten outline for a WW2 chaplain's "sex talk" to the troops.

I was certain I'd win, but then I saw some of her other friends' list.

So what sort of weird and wonderful things are you providing a home for?

I have
A working script of "Forrest Gump" that is signed by the entire cast.
Roses that are made of wood
A feather lamp. Or two.
My children's belly buttons.
A fish tank with no fish
A statue of a woman's dress made of gold wire
A birdcage with no bird
7 old cell phones
My cheerleading Pom poms from 1983
My sash from a pageant in 1985
My grandmothers shoes from her wedding
A Picture of someone that I am apparently related to, but whom no one recognizes, dead in a coffin, dated 1937

A polished nickle plated 105mm shell with a mahogany top shaped like the warhead.
A wooden statue of my first dog.
A stone age hand axe that I found on my property
A number of arrow heads found in the area.
A clovis point spear head I found while hiking
A deck of tarot cards from the late 1800's.
A collection of shot glasses from "haunted" bars around the country
Some grenade fragments removed from my leg
A collection of rattle snake rattles
2 late 1800's snuff jars.

Am I just too pragmatic and practical that everything must have a use or it goes??

Status: offline 		I was married to a guy who stole a huge bolt out of the George Washington Bridge. Seriously, he lived in Ft. Lee, NJ for awhile, would grab a 6-pack after work and drive his truck to some park (Palisades?) that was adjacent to part of the foundation of the bridge. In his drunken giddiness he decided it would be fun to bring tools from work and loosen this big bolt that was in (fortunately!) an old piece of the foundation that had been replaced. It was about 2 feet long and 2 inches thick. So we had it in the house while we were married, and he took it with him when he left. And the bridge is still standing, thank god.

Turtle shell segments shed from a previous housemates' pet painted turtles.
A chunk of raw amethyst.
My uncle's highschool yearbook which he was the editor for.
Various signed cd's of people no one's heard of.
A Tim Curry record I found at a flee market.
A slice of a tall ship mast from the Pathfinder.
A tv antenna that my dad made out of a cd case, two paperclips, and some binder clips.
A cast iron statue of a cherub (or child, not sure which) holding up a leaf (a la bird bath).

I'm sure there's more, but I can't think what others would find weird.

I have some adult diapers from when I had c-diff
Jeans in sizes ranging from 6-22 (so I always have the right size.)
Lots of yarn I keep swearing I will use up
Two pairs of crutches on my patio getting ruined by the elements.

Oh, the license plate from my very first car. I refuse to get rid of it.

Status: offline 		A turn of the century london police truncheon that belonged to my great grandfather and then my grandfather.
Grandfathers Order of St John and all his paper cuttings from when he worked on the Great Train Robbery.
My sons belly button and my hubbys left toenail from when he ripped it , in a sexual adventure that went painfully*toenail death* and hysterically wrong.
A full fly tying kit that I first had when I was 16 when I used to make trout flies for the fishermen at the local club for "pin" money.... all the feathers went grotty, but the silks and other accessories are still fine. I havent used it but it has sentimental value.

Status: offline 		Without seeing the other responses, it'd be difficult for me to answer this. I've just never before considered them weird. But, here's my list:

The crusty umbilical remnants of each child and their first lost tooth
Equestrian ribbons and my first riding helmet
My violin and medals for competing
A few scripts from Junior High and High School plays I was in
Cheerleading patches (Blonderfluff, I would have kept my Pom poms but we didn't use or have them)
Grandmother's high school yearbook
A shell with a barnacle on it and a few little odd rocks all which I found when I was little
Artwork from when I was little
A photograph enlarger which I will never use since film is obsolete

This is a pretty complete list of items, other than seasonal decor, that are in the attic collecting dust.

All of the baby teeth my kids lost
An old "tube" radio (one day I hope to get into working condition)
Bricks from the old schoolhouse (as they were tearing it down) where my grandmother school for over 40 years
The license plate from my first car
Pieces of bone fragments that were taken out of my left knee during my first knee surgery

Status: offline 		We have the cash register made for T J Hileman by NCR in 1906 who was a photographer who worked for the railway. Hileman is a semi famous person who lived in Montana for much of his adult life and took pictures of Glacier National Park and local Indians. It's not really a cash register like anyone has seen before. It is a wooden box with a 5 number code to open it up. It has a paper tape that you have to write the sale on.

Gary also has all the negatives from his family's photography business dating back to the late 1930s.

Wine that Gary's mother and father made from the pie cherry tree in the 1970s. It's still good as it has been stored in the cistern.

My kids think its weird and gross, meh
they also dont like the fact that I like to pop zits, and pull off peeling sunburned skin,(no I dont keep the ...remnants.
how dare they call me weird:)
