jlf1961 -> Seriously? (3/19/2014 5:35:53 PM)

It seems that since I sold the property above the one where I live, even though it is on the same driveway, and the only fucking difference is the address now ends with a C instead of an A, I have to get a new license.

How did I come by this information?

I was stopped by a state trooper because my truck was the same year, make and model of one involved in a hit and run. Never mind the fact that my pick up had no damage, clearly evident when I passed the trooper, or the fact that the driver of the truck being looked for is Hispanic.

Anyway, after examining my ID, and the registration, seeing a discrepancy in the addresses, issued me a ticket for having the wrong address on my license.

We don't have that silliness here in Massachusetts.

Sorry :(

ShaharThorne -> RE: Seriously? (3/20/2014 12:47:29 AM)

The trooper must be bored...

LadyMondenschein -> RE: Seriously? (3/20/2014 1:06:44 AM)

You should have let him have the bottle o' Shine that was temptingly rolling around on the back seat.  HIC! Drive shafely, now, Bo'! hic!

DaddySatyr -> RE: Seriously? (3/20/2014 1:20:05 AM)

When a trooper comes up to my window, I like to kind of let my eyes glaze over, look at him out of the corner of my (EDIT: GRRRRRRRRRRR) right left eye and say: "You're gonna look in the trunk. Ain't ya?"

My ribs are almost healed from the last time.

theshytype -> RE: Seriously? (3/20/2014 5:10:00 AM)

That's pretty petty in my eyes.

That reminds me, I still need to change my license over. We rushed to change our plates so we didn't have to pay the awful Personal Property tax. Just keep forgetting about the other. Not looking forward to it.

We neither over here in Germany....sorry to hear about that...

jlf1961 -> RE: Seriously? (3/20/2014 6:13:14 AM)

Yup, 75 bucks for the ticket, 16 for the change of address on my license.

Which of course will come out of my "gotta save to get it" savings account.

This means that unless I win the lotto, I am not getting that 63 crew cab dodge power wagon as soon as I wanted.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Seriously? (3/20/2014 6:50:18 AM)

I told Mom to buy a ticket this morning...

The troopers have been busy on this side of the state. Yesterday, the sheriff had 2 cars sitting about a mile apart...waiting for speeders.

I suppose you're lucky they didn't empty a couple clips into your truck, like they did with those two ladies that were just trying to deliver newspapers.

I keep a senator on speed dial for shit like that. It was hard to romance him into the speed dial, had to pen a few bills for him, secure a reelection, and I send flowers to his secretary every time have to call (cuz she is the one that puts me strait through to him). But, I've had the pleasure of chopping a few badges into key chains a time or too when running into dick heads like that.

Jus sayin

Contrary to popular belief, there is one, and only one, reason police in Texas shoot first, repeatedly, and ask questions after they run out of ammo, made possible by the wonderful dash cams.

If a Texas LEO is shot and killed in the line of duty, and the dash cam has the shooter's license plate number clearly on record, the shooter will probably not see trial. You know, shot while resisting arrest.

Anything else and the officer will politely wait for you to shoot at them, then they shoot.

I believe the politically correct term (hey You opened the door) is "Richard Cranium".

ExiledTyrant -> RE: Seriously? (3/20/2014 8:49:51 AM)

That would be Richard Kranuim, he was of Ukrainian descent.

Jus sayin
