Do submissives and slaves feel protective of their Owners/Masters/dominants?

Constantly repeated is the desires of s-types to be 'protected' - that dominants feel responsibility and protective over their possessions, but is it not true in reverse?
How dominants respond to a protective submissive?
Do s-types feel able to express protection?

juliaoceania -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 7:04:57 AM)

OMG I am protective over my Dom, actually both dominants I have been involved with. I have had to bite my tongue a few times on the forums because of my protectiveness. I have to stop myself and say, he is a Big Dom and he can fight his own fights .. I am supposed to be the one that is protected (and no not in the forums, in real life he is protective, I can fight my own fights here because they involve brains, not brawn). I try to leave no reason for him to have to fight one of my fights... it is not something I would enjoy watching.

I am protective over anyone I care for, especially on the level I care for my Dominant.... can't help it... just who I am. He knows this and has warned me not to exhibit protectiveness, at least not here. I would in real life if it were necessary. I know he is protective of me, very much so, especially when we start going to events together. He wouldnt be protective in a jealous way, but if someone was being abusive to me he would definitely deal with it. It is a nice feeling to know that is so.

He would have to answer the rest of it.

I will never have a submissive or a slave who is not protective of Me---hence the term enslavement---W/we are each enslaved to the other.

cuddleheart50 -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 7:09:50 AM)

I am very protective, isn't that a part of caring for someone?

bandit25 -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 7:13:32 AM)

Absolutely.  And there are many ways to express that protectiveness.  Telling your Dom to "drive safely".

feastie -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 7:14:50 AM)

I always am protective of my Dominant.  It's just part of loving someone.

Wouldn't that be bossing him around? (kidding here)

OK mia culpa possibly one of the areas where I am a crap Master. Possibly one area where helen finds it most difficult I know is that whilst I'm always there for her, protective and supportive, a rock she can reach for when everything else around her is in termoil. I'm bloody terrible at accepting the reverse. Partly because I AM a rather stable person and because it takes a lot to rock that stability and I'm very quick at dusting myself off and getting back to my feet. The other part is that I'm a stubbourn old goat who sometimes doesn't allow himself to accept he is human!

IronBear -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 7:32:00 AM)

Rergarding slaves collared in HIB House collars, I expect them to feel protective of the Home on general and perhaps have some protective feelings regarding both Neets and I. Any slave in My Personal Collar is a different matter. I'd expect that she would guard my back and protect me from the old enemy ..Myself. I tend to forget to take tablets or do bloodsugar tests and am just as likely to go and do something about the home forgetting I need to work smarter and end up not being able to walk more than a few yards later....

Slipstreme -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 7:44:33 AM)

I have learned that the pits of hell would open up if my slave felt like anything was trying to either, prevent her from serving me, or harm me or our relationship in any way. Found it very surprising, and I am in awe at her anger when something does step in the way. It baffles me to this day that I am in control of her.

smilezz -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 8:18:20 AM)

I am very protective and even more territorial....they don't jive with each other at times.  With Thorns help over the last few years, the territorial part has gotten much better.  I would not say that i am protective when it comes to any forum site though.....they're just words.  I can confidently without one hesitation say that if anyone tried to hurt Thorns in r/l............there are consequences to your actions.  (smiling griting my teeth when the thought of someone hurting Him consumes me and all i want to do is really hurt that person really really bad and  because that's what Thorns told me to do when i feel like this)  lol

juliaoceania -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 8:37:39 AM)

Yes they are just words... which is why I wouldn't say anything to anyone for posting negatively to him, or to me much if the facts be known. I cannot imagine anyone attacking him in real life.. he is so easy going and the last thing in the world he wants to do is get into an argument or fight with anyone. He teaches people how to avoid a fight, not engage in them... If they did start a fight with him and he couldnt walk away, well lets just say I would feel sorry for whomever did that without knowing his martial arts background and training...

lanwolf -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 8:54:24 AM)

I have been and always will be very protective of any Dom I am with. I just don’t feel right not being protective of friends family and my Partner.

champagnewishes -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/8/2006 8:58:47 AM)

I am protective in a nurturing manner.  I will make sure medicine is taken as needed, be the buffer between he and the irritations life can bring, make him aware of concerns i may have regarding our life that could evolve into a problem, defend his actions to the bitter end etc etc.  But he will need to be my rock when things get crazy...a source i can draw energy from when i think i can't take any more, a pillar whose very presence inspires me to continue and whose arms  i can sink into and feel safe from the world.

That is beautiful

bandit25 -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/9/2006 5:11:03 AM)

Yeah, I know you're kidding, but I remember reading some thread here where the Dom didn't want his sub telling him stuff like that.  I couldn't get over that one.

twicehappy -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/9/2006 5:33:20 AM)

I am definitely over protective of my pair!

Master sometimes refers to me as the attack slave.

Gods have mercy on anyone irritating or attempting to hurt what is mine because i sure as hell won't.

Do i feel like this makes me less of a submissive, no. I take care of them, to me this is part of taking care of them; they feel the same way about me. I really think this has very little to do with the lifestyle, i think this has to do entirely with love, and caring for and protecting who and what you love.

SusanofO -> RE: .submissive protection. (7/9/2006 5:50:02 AM)

I tend to be protective of people I care about, whether friends, family or, I am imagining, a Dominant or a Master or a submissive (someday). It would be verbal or the nurturing (making sure they eat right, etc.) type of protection, unless it was the most unusual of circumstances (like a burglary where I could stop him from being harmed by tripping the burglar or hitting him/her over the head with some object, like a table lamp).
