I'm looking to get a chastity cage and use it till I find a mistress or a key holder. I'm not what devise is the best for a starter. I don't have a lot of cash so that's another factor. I'd like to spend less than 50 dollar on one but the true stainless steel cages all seem to be well over 100 Dollars. Are there any other details, like chaffing or shaving I should know about ??

I'm not too familiar with chastity but, if you are on Fetlife, check out the group Male Chastity and Orgasm Tease and Denial. It's very good. I'm in that group but, like I said, I haven't much real life experience yet with chastity....mostly w/ tease & denial.

I never understand folks who want to lock themselves in chastity without a partner. It would be like Me carrying around a whip 24/7 with no one to hit.

However, there is some darn good advice on chastity devices that can be found through the search feature under the author name Rochsub2009. If I had questions about a device, that would be who I would go to.

Perhaps it is different because I am on the other side of the kneel. A whip? I know I have to be skilled in the art before another *person* ever comes along to use it. A collar? I would never buy that before the other person is in My life. It becomes cold and impersonal.

To Me, that's not the Domme. It's the ideal of a Domme and has nothing to do with the woman, herself, at all.

I do think part of it has to do with which side of the kneel I am on. I do agree some toys should not be bought until the other person is present. Certainly a collar is one of those items. Just as I would not buy a rubber catsuit for a Domme before met her. But I would not consider a chastity device one of those items. The lock for it yes. But then again I am not into the chastity play so maybe I just see it differently.

And just as you need to practice with your whips, us subs need to practice our puppy dog face with the chastity device on, big brown droopy eyes pleading to please let me out, I have been a very good boy [8D]

I think you are right that we all tend to draw the lines differently. There are some things that I put in the 'intimacy' category that other people might not. I'm all for s-types having their own bag for items, particularly those who engage in casual play. Things like cuffs, blindfolds, gags, etc. The stuff that is best used with a specific partner, I'm more likely to say find the partner first.

Thanks , I forgot to check back last night. I was told about a site called keyholder and am searching there for someone right now. i'll keep everyone up to date with what happens here and on my profile blog.

Maybe you should ask: what device would my mistress want for me to wear? A better device demonstrates greater desire.

Then you need to open your eyes.
They have several dozen stainless chastity cages on that site for under $25.

Almost every device on that site was below $30. Some below $20. That's a lot less than $100.

By all means save up for the cage of your dreams, but there are still plenty of choices that are pretty affordable if you're looking to experiment. Chances are the first one you try won't be perfect for you anyway since sizing and lifestyle wise, there are so many variants.

Granted the ones which are actually attached to belts do seem to be over $100. But (and it's none of my business, I'll admit!) I'd guess they were not the most practical for your first time/for long term use anyway.
