DiurnalVampire -> RE: Verbal Collaring??? (7/8/2006 5:28:53 PM)

My boy is not in a place in his life where he can wear a collar. And I dont meana physical collar around his neck, necessarily, but any sort of jewelry would be out of place for him. He knows he is owner and collared, and we wil be making that official this weekend when I go visit him. e was verbally collared before his trip overseas, as a security blanket for him as much as for my own enjoyment. He needed to know I would be waiting for him to come back to me and still want him even though I had to be without him for 3 weeks. I dont believe, however, that a verbal collar shuld be the end of the progression. Sometimes, as in our situation, its useful, but it should be leading to a real physical collar at some point. If not, its like telling someone I love you online... you might mean it when its said, but you culd also be saying it to a hundred different people a day. If you cant translate the same feelings to real life... then they arent as real as they need to be and something shuld be reexamined. DV
