And what's going to happen when there's a retaliatory round of raids and arrests on Republican offices and politicians? Are you going to blame it on some secret plan of Obama's to destroy the country? Neither party holds any kind of moral high ground because ALL the politicians are corrupt. Every. Last. Fucking. One.

When the fuck will the Republicans ever hold the power to retaliate in San Francisco, or New York? Seriously[8|]

Why don`t we feel bad?

I don't know if was released or leaked, but the indictment on Yee is out. I didn't get a chance to read it today, but I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow. It seems he's been very naughty.

He`s already been asks to quite.....by the dem LEADERSHIP........[:D]

David Vitter is running for gov of his state....... [sm=binky.gif]

Again as I`ve pointed out numerous times.......it`s not just those who do wrong that count but what the LEADERSHIP does.....geopee leadership acts more like the Catholic church than the party of personal responsibility...[X(]

Bad week for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.).......[sm=sex.gif]

"Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.), the chair of the House Republican Conference and the #4 leader in the chamber, received some good news and some bad news from the House Ethics Committee this week. Zack Roth reported this week:
A House committee won’t appoint a special investigative panel to probe whether a top Republican improperly used official funds to boost her political career – for now. But the committee also isn’t dropping the case.

The House Ethics Committee on Monday released a 422-page report on the allegations, which concern Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington.
As a rule, when the ethics panel declines to broaden an investigation, the lawmaker in question is relieved. But in this case, it’s not quite that simple.

This week’s report from the Office of Congressional Ethics not only detailed the allegations against McMorris Rodgers for the first time, but also said it would leave the case open.

And what kind of allegations are we talking about? As Roll Call noted, the questions surround charges that the Republican leader improperly co-mingled campaign and official funds.

And there's so much more...

Patrick Cannon, who rose from public housing to become mayor of North Carolina’s largest city, was charged Wednesday by federal authorities. They said he accepted tens of thousands of dollars in bribes – including $20,000 in cash delivered in a briefcase last month to the mayor’s office in a meeting where he solicited $1 million more.

Cannon, a 49-year-old Democrat who took office only four months ago, was scheduled to show up at a luxury apartment in SouthPark for yet another payoff from what he thought were businessmen needing his influence in city matters, according to an affidavit.

Except they weren't, and now he's needing a lawyer.

FR

Politicians are politicians, no matter what part of the spectrum they stand on. In all honesty, all this doesn't surprise me. Dems are just as capable of being fraudulent and breaking the law as Pubs, they just don't rant about religion not being in schools or blame Obama for their problems.

Owner59 -> RE: Democrats having a rough week (3/26/2014 9:14:36 PM)

Ehemmm.... Mark Foley was fucking pages for years because god`s own party covered for him and enabled him after knowing what he was up to.....

There is a difference beteen parties and their POVs

Tkman117 -> RE: Democrats having a rough week (3/26/2014 9:16:57 PM)

I know that just as well as you do, but no one is perfect, let alone politicians, who are more than likely to take a bribe than most people in this world.

TheHeretic -> RE: Democrats having a rough week (3/26/2014 9:28:57 PM)

On the subject, it seems the (Democrat) State Treasurer of Arkansas was collecting pie boxes full of cash for her bribes. Does it get any more Boss Hogg???

Owner59 -> RE: Democrats having a rough week (3/26/2014 9:45:09 PM)

OMG!

Not the treasurer of Arkansas?!

Not that......ANYTHING but that oh please god make it stop.....

You were saying.......... spam?

I`m feel`n one of your awesome "wait till the next election,you`ll be sorry" dire warnings bubbling up there buddy......Am I correct?

JeffBC -> RE: Democrats having a rough week (3/27/2014 7:16:19 AM)

~fast reply~
Is it not appropriately liberal of me to be happy if we nail some crooks? Like others, I don't fully understand why anyone's surprised at sketchy behavior in any politician. They stand up on camera in front of us all and do it outright on a daily basis.

Tkman117 -> RE: Democrats having a rough week (3/27/2014 7:46:32 AM)

Exactly, just because they're on our side of the political spectrum doesn't make them virtuous and infallible.

DianeB269 -> RE: Democrats having a rough week (3/27/2014 12:01:04 PM)

Loving it!!!

Naa, the difference in the two parties is which big money corporations bought them and what type of lies they tell to sucker the average voter.

So how many Democrats have had the supreme court annul a popular vote?
You'd think that'd be more of an issue with all the whining about the constitution from Repukes in here.

Only one. Gore, properly stopped in his tracks for trying infinite recounts till he could steal an election.
