When I was little, my parents gave me a very tiny allowance (age/10... When I was 10, I got $1), and if we wanted something, we had to pay for it - candy, many toys, etc. My dad also was our bank, and paid great interest (I think 10%, plus random bonuses) Because of this, we all learned to manage our money well: to save up for things we wanted, even if we had nothing in mind yet; to think about buying something; if you can't afford it, don't buy it; never go into debt over wants and more. Nowadays, I have to say, I manage my money well. I spend very conservatively, work hard for the money I make from my job, and don't care about brands. I have nothing to prove to anyone about my financial situation, and am so grateful I learned the value of a dollar early. Yours, benji
