While perusing the black and white site, I discovered that one of my long-time friends from here and Fet died in March of 2013.

We never met but would breeze into each other's lives every so often, catch up furiously and fade on out again.

I won't talk about how kind or compassionate he was, because I swore to keep that a secret.
However, he was always funny. He would want that noted.
I am putting this here in case there are other posters around who, like me, didn't know he had passed on.
I thought you'd want to know.

I didn't know him, but I'm sorry for his loss for those people that did.

NO!

Really? Ah fuck no!

MadAxeman was definitely one of the good ones! His wit will be (and already has been) sorely missed.

That just bums me out but I appreciate you bringing the news.

Ya know, it just might be time to create a Collarme Hall of Memories thread for those who have passed on . . . after we finish virtually burying all the virtual bodies in the recent exercise in vicarious warfare.

But seriously, that is sad news about MadAxeman and I extend my condolences to any and all who will feel his absence.

I'm sorry to hear of this, angelika. He left the boards not too long
after I joined, but I remember him as a very witty fellow.
May he rest in peace.

Mad was a very sweet, sensitive soul who passed much too soon. If I recall correctly, he was undergoing a cardiac catheterization and coded on the table very unexpectedly. He will be missed by many for a long time to come.

He was truly one of the good guys (with an appropriately filthy mind)

We talked for quite some time and were planning on meeting up for a drink after his op. I'm just sad we didn't manage to do it sooner.

It was a huge shock when I learned of his passing last year. We had our disagreements, but we also recognised that these are minor in the grand scale of things and even though we talked on the phone, we never got to meet as life throws us curves and we roll with them, hoping for another opportunity. I do miss him and know he'll be doing what he did best. .. riffing.

That is what I remembered as well. I am glad to have it confirmed. I associated 'good' with his avatar and nick.
