I think I saw a mild BDSM scene at Wal-Mart a few days ago. It began when I noticed four teens, two boys and two girls, that were acting in an unusual manner. Just something was out of place. I noticed one of the girls had her wrists crossed behind her back with one of the boys hold her wrists together and walking like he's leading her from behind, like how a cop might lead a cuffed perp. I thought they left, but I saw them a second time a few minutes later as I checked out. That same girl was still being led with her hands held behind her back. Of course the girl was smiling and laughing the whole time. Finally, in the parking lot I saw the four of them go to their van, this time both girls being led by their boys. I heard something about "shoplifting" as one of the girls was pushed against the van, frisked, *spanked*, and then pushed into the van. Hopefully there wasn't any real shoplifting, but seemed like they were playing a frisky game of "cops and robbers."

Clueless, stupid and idiotic.

Why not make it awkward for parents to have to explain to their children why these ignorant tossers are playing sex games in a supermarket? Or make other shoppers embarrassed and uncomfortable because they can't keep it in their pants and in private?

We can only hope these morons are using birth control so that their 'stupid' genes aren't passed on to the next generation.

Good lord, Bunni, do you often wish death on "goth" kids, or folks with tattoos too? Parents have to explain a lot of things to their kids everyday and the op did not say these kids were exposing their bodies in engaging in intercourse. Yes, it would be nice if someone explained to them that it is not proper to act out in public but there is a very good chance they were just being kids and doing to get attention. Kids tend to do things like that you know.

I agree - kids are stupid. I work with kids - they do a LOT of stupid stuff.

But it's up to us to make sure they learn the difference between 'stupid' and 'sensible'.

I don't condone *anyone* who behaves like a dick in an inappropriate place, even if they are following their hormones instead of their common sense.

Stupid is as stupid does.

ETA: as an ex-goth (many years ago) and having tattoos too - I don't wish death on anyone or discriminate just because they look different. I do wish birth control on those too young and too dumb to bring up kids appropriately.

I would agree that it would be nice if a large number of young people did not breed because they lack the understanding of what it takes to be a parent but I am sure, as a former "goth", that you at some point or another heard people look at you say they hope that you don't breed. Kids do stupid things, give them time to be kids and normally they outgrow it.

Yeah, I'm with MIP on this. I saw it as a bunch of youngsters having fun, even if it was a bit risque doing it at Walmart. Lord knows I've done stupid things in public, and I'll be the last to throw stones on this one. I look at this along the same lines as folks staging 'abduction' scenes on the street. Smart? No. Fun? Yes! Isn't that why we do things like this? To have fun? From the OP's description, no one got their nose bent over this, and they had a good time.

While I agree with MIP generally, bunny did not wish death on anyone.

Not really sure you can call that a scene, coulda been a prank , as its getting on that time of your for both high schools and colleges. Few years ago when I worked for a convenience store, i had a group of kids come in leading one who was blind folded, they were doing some kind of game for his birthday, popped a beer open in the store and fed it to him, and took a photo. I had to do what was required by my job and the law, but ultimately it was discovered it was a game, the kid was turning 21 at midnight and they offered to pay for the beer , the officers gave them a lecture and a ticket and moved on. Kids play stupid games, especially when theirs a group of them doesnt matter what culture they subscribe to and that kind of behavior isnt in my opinion related to the scene, just kids having fun, trust me their behavior in and around walmart was watched as walmart typically has 3x as many cameras as a bank if they did anything truly wrong or that warrented attention of authorities walmart would have involved authorities, most likely it was thrown off as a spring break prank or the likes. Plus dirt cops and robbers as long as nothing was exposed doesnt really warrant attention.

I don't have problems with kids doing stupid things. What I have problems with is people saying 'kids will be kids' without giving said kids the guidance to stop being so bloody stupid.

I certainly never said to kill or discriminate against anybody - where that come from I have no idea!

I wouldn't even have noticed it. Kids walking and joking together don't get my intense scrutiny.

Hell I see adults do a whole lot worst at Wal*Marts....I would have just laughed.....and I also work with munchkins. What makes them stupid?? They where laughing and having a good time...if the girls where not laughing I might have paid more attention to them. Not sure I would ever call a child stupid.....they just may not always make the best choices. Also as a Mom of one of those that has been call stupid..... because she had a child at a very young age....she has turned out to be one remarkable women and so has my grand munchkin. Her not so best choice turned into two positives in the end.   Good thing we can learn from what we do not always do right and sometimes some really good things can come from it.

They were lucky no one called the cops, as a concerned bystander once did after some stupidity between my ex M and me at the supermarket, which turned into a big mess that took a lot of cleaning up.

My kids are rennaisance faire regulars (as in every day of the season, plus a few more at neighboring faires), so they see this kind of behavior - and even more risque behavior and talk - all the time. I can assure you that they have in no way been scarred or damaged by it. It's just not that big of a deal, until parents make it into a big deal.

Much ado about nothing.... No one got hurt, body parts not exposed. I didn't hear any foul language. I've seen "adults" act far worse.

I think Walmart is kinda like an emergency room.....they've seen everything.

Personally, I don't see anything clueless, stupid, idiotic or kinky about the things the kids were doing. Just some random, fully clothed, horseplay. What I do find appalling is, the person in question, following said kids all over the Wallmart, and out into the parking-lot: acting like a stalker... That behavior, I would have called the police for

I don't see anything bad about what they were doing and don't know why anyone who saw them would have to explain sex games to their children. They weren't doing anything sexual.

True, Steven, and I most likely worded that very badly. It just seemed to me that wishing someone not breed is a little rough to say about some kids.

Sorry if I offended, Bunni, that was not my intent. And if it counts for anything, had I been there, I might have stopped them to point out that people were watching them. But I would not have stopped them for doing something wrong. Perhaps you should ask the op why he didn't step in and ask the kids if they knew they were causing a scene.
