I just read this Straight Dope, and, well, I was never aware (until now) that the male nipple had ANY sexual connotation whatsoever (at least mine has absoloutely no sexual ramifications).

Does yours?

Why is public exposure of the female nipple considered indecent but the exposed male nipple isn�t?

Really? Usually when a guy is that sensitive there, he doesn't want his nipples stimulated by direct touch. Some can tolerate it, others can't.

You are looking at nipple exposure from the wrong angle. Before some uptight people started getting prudish about it, women breastfed openly in public. They still do in Third World countries without much hindrance. Only partial breast exposure, if not covered up while doing so. Women don't go around flashing their nipples, dude, like GirlsGoneWild or at Mardi Gras. Why should men have to cover up? Your camp makes no sense.

Status: offline 		ya do know that some males can get breast cancer, lactate, etc. Males and females are somewhat similar in the ole sexual department, physically. Mentally, well, what gets the "juices" flowing is a matter of preference (I knew a gal who could orgasm just by cleaning)

Yes. They're not the main source sensual feeling for me but I can definitely get a charge out of them. And you know what else? If they get cold enough they contract and they really hurt (I mean really hurt). So if you ever see me walking down the street on a cold winter day, hands in my shirt and cupping my man-boobs while saying "ow, ow, owei, owei, ow, ow!" you'll know why.

Female nipples are a source of sexual interest for the average male heterosexual, by themselves and as part of the overall awesomeness that is the female form.
