cupleITALY -> Scam. can we talk about it? (7/8/2006 11:07:20 PM)

hallo...I'd like to know if you had experiences with "scam"  here. Does people asked you for money? I found 2 sub persons here (a girl and a guy...) asking for money to come visit me from Romania....similar experiences?  [8|]
excuse my  bad english

Padriag -> RE: Scam. can we talk about it? (7/8/2006 11:40:47 PM)

Yup... have had two from Nigeria, one from Ghana and one who claimed she was in London contact me.  Just tonight in the chatroom I had another from Nigeria contact me, but I shut that one down quickly.

The one from London was a bit confusing, she wanted to send me money.  What she wanted to do was send me a money order, have me cash it and then send the money back to her... supposedly so she could come back to the US from London.  She claimed she was on a business trip there and didn't have money for air fair but wanted to rush right back to meet me (she had talked to me for all of 10 min).  First, I explained that if she actually had the money in a US account, any bank there would be happy to help her do a wire transfer.  That seemed to stalemate here, meanwhile I tried to figure this scam out.  It wasn't til later talking to my bank that I found out what was going on.  Apparently the latest scam going round is that they send you fake money orders then ask you to send it back to them.  But by the time the bank finds out the money order was a fake, you've already sent them thousands of dollars, and now the bank tries to get the money from you.

Haven't had any from Romania... yet.  Its one of the reasons that at this point, if a girl isn't from the US I tend to be much more skeptical of her.  Just the times we live in.  Its also one of the reasons I want pictures and to talk on the phone fairly soon, so that I have some assurance the person I'm talking to is who they claim.  That doesn't go over well with many submissives.

Sad but true, no matter where you go online, there will always be people looking to separate you from your hard earned money.  That's why the following warning is at the top of your screen whenever you send email here:

Note:     Any messages involving Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Singapore, witing money, online
escrow services, or cashiers checks are scams and should be ignored.  Be wary of
requests for your personal email address or money from people you just met.

In short, use common sense.  If you get email from someone like this, report it to support, block the sender and don't send them any money.

maybe they asked for transportation ;they dont like to bet on anything else but a sure thing and have no mobility to be upwardly mobile to find the best tops
i would never ask money for a top ;its for her anyway but id ask if i wasnt your slave or if i was desperate or didnt trust you
;you have to confront them and see what they say;cause no one can read minds
;people are people;im sure if it were you mother ;she'd have a good reason for asking ;wouldnt she?
trust ...without it theres no relationship even possible no matter what kind of level of type of relation or business

i dont "owe" anyone sex, i dont "owe" anyone a fling.

windchymes -> RE: Scam. can we talk about it? (7/9/2006 7:05:50 AM)

They're in the 'vanilla' dating sites, too, like Match.com.  I've gotten a couple emails from guys claiming to be from America, who live a charmed life, successful career, white picket fence, 2.5 kids and big faithful dog all waiting for him to come home to Oklahoma, or Connecticut.....but he's had the misfortune of being stranded in Africa visiting his sick brother, yada yada yada.  They "happened" to see my pic and fell instantly in love with my beauty (barf) and just KNOW that I'm kind enough to help them, and then we can run away into the sunset.

cupleITALY -> RE: Scam. can we talk about it? (7/9/2006 7:16:34 AM)

thank you all for reply. [:)]
I want to tell more about my experiences: the romanian girl was WONDERFUL. Beautiful, sexy, a dream-like body (she is still in this site). And she immeadiatly want t come in Italy to meet me. She said she needed 500 euros (600 dollars).
The guy, a very nice one, spent days and days chatting with me. He told me a lot about his life, always answered my questions and mail.... after a wile, he told me he wanted to come here, but he needed 250 euro (300 dollars) to pay the ticket. He also sent me a scanned-copy of his passport...but no one else way to  "find" him : is this address (the one he told me chatting to get the money with W. U.) the true one? He is a student, and he does not have a land-line telephone... even if he is SO nice, and he seems so sincere, it is hard to me belive in the story. This is way I was asking to you all, if anybody else "meet" him... because, even if I'm sure the girl was a fake, I'm not totally sure this guy is.

SCORPIOXXX -> RE: Scam. can we talk about it? (7/9/2006 9:06:56 AM)

This in reply to all...

You can immediately tell the scam artists (sub/slave women, in my case as I am a DOM) from the following:

1 - Atrocious grammar, spelling and syntax! 2 - Incredibly stupid "Location" mistakes. 3 - The same old story: parents dead in horrible accident, or mother inhospital with terminal cancer; stranded in Africa on a modeling job; expects money soon but please send some and I'll pay you back; the check scam. 4 - "loyal, god fearing, will be all yours" yada yada etc etc...

Moderator: there is one problem with reporting these rectal specimens to Support -- there is no "box" that says scam artist and the reasons for the suspicion! And since Cme scans Profiles for approval, how come no one notices the geographical discrepancies?

In the end, the Moderator is right: ignore them, or block them... When I am in a pissy mood, I write them, call them for what they are, and invite them to eat their face and choke on it, or worse... Then I block them... I have done it enough that when I was on a different site I got on an Eastern European (i.e.: Romania, as mentioned by Padriag and cuple) "don't bother with this guy" shitlist -- so I was told by one sub on the site's "Instant IM" feature (Me: Hi - sub: Erm, I am not supposed to talk to you - Me: Why?!!? - sub: you are on a list [explanation of list followed by exit])... I consider that a point of pride!

Go ahead and have fun: waste their time with a vituperative letter!

missturbation -> RE: Scam. can we talk about it? (7/9/2006 10:23:33 AM)

Hmmmmmmmm flaw in ur thinking.
1. my grammar, spelling and syntax are atrocious.
2. i have a serious illness.
3. i sometime say im from yorks, sometimes bradford, sometimes shipley.
4. im loyal and god fearing in my own way.

Does that make me a scammer?

Yeah  but im a cheap one - the cost of a pair of shoes lol

SCORPIOXXX -> RE: Scam. can we talk about it? (7/9/2006 10:38:37 AM)

Hi missturbation...

1 - I have followed a lot of your posts and you write just fine. I was referring to badly broken English... Plus, I am accustomed to cyber-English (as opposed to more correct usage, like persoanl letter, creative writing etc)...

2 - The one with the serious illness is the sub/slave's parent, not the sub/slave herself... And BTW: here's to hoping for YOUR soonest and happy convalescence and recovery!

3 - As for your changing location, I can see that in the interest of safety/discretion -- again, I am talking about something like "Chicago, Connecticut"; Chi is in Illinois! The equivalent for you would be like "Cambridge, France"...

4 - The religious angle I mentioned is of the sort that appeals to the Evangelical-Born Again Kristianoids. And the bit about "loyal etc." are simply too extravagant to feel genuine... BTW, I have no problem with god(s): it's those who love him too much that I fear, lol!

As for you yourself: from I what I read of yours, I wish you were available!

missturbation -> RE: Scam. can we talk about it? (7/9/2006 10:47:06 AM)

Thank you for all the compliments and ur well wishes.
I have to come clean though im not at all religious but would def be afraid if god existed. No way would i be allowed through those pearly gates.
As for ur wishing i was available its only my 'cheapness' that attracts lol.
Just to give you the hint i dont have a pair of shoes that cost me less than a hundred quid and i have about 50 pairs. Oh and 25ish pairs of boots lol.
Not so cheap after all.
