I am thinking about being branded to signify my submissive nature. Has anyone experienced this? If so, any regrets?

What about this signifies "submissiveness" to you? From your profile, itg seems that you arentg currently in a relationship and you state you are fairly new to this.

Branding is something that tends to be an intimate moment between two people. So to me, doing it to yourself (even though someone else might be doing the actual act) is anything BUT submissive.

I suggest you take a couple steps back and do some research.

Some people like it, see https://www.slaveregister.com/slrnpictures/
They have a fetlife group.

Definitely take some time to think about it. My former master carved his name into me and every master since has hated it.

A decision not to be taking lightly and to discuss with your master. Remember it is permanent and a body modification that you will wear on your skin forever as a true sign of commitment.

One of my tats is of my initials, my former Masters initials and a significant date within the main design. We were together for over 20 years, I got that tat after we were together for many years and I never regretted having it done. My Master who I'm with now for 7 years has no problem with me having it. I do plan on getting a tat in the very near future that represents our relationship also. All my tats have a significant meaning and were thought out thoroughly before getting them so I wouldn't have any regrets at some point down the road.

I personally wouldn't have anything done just to signify I'm a submissive. Having your body permanently marked in any way is something to think long and hard on. Once it's there, it's there for the rest of your life.

When I was with my last master, he had me tattooed. It was a special moment for us signifying my commitment. he died several years ago and recently I decided to have the tats removed by laser.
In the context of the relationship we had, the tats were right. Now they are surplus to requirements.
Tats can be removed, albeit with several treatments. A brand is for life.

General things to consider about branding: burns heal in unpredictable ways. Expect it to take a long time to heal, and be more prone to infection than a tattoo. Once it does heal, it may or may not show up well depending on how your body scars. The lines are likely to be thicker and more blurry than when it was first done and may look a bit patchy - standing out more in one area than another. Don't let just any body-mod artist do it - have a look at their portfolio and make sure they have lots of experience. If they can't talk to you confidently about the risks and the possible end results, walk away.

Have fun.
