I never paid attention to gas prices before I started driving. So excepting that, all of them.

I'm older than dirt.

Saturday Morning Cartoons - Not only do I remember them but I miss them. I found an hour of the old Bugs Bunny (Mel Blanc; not his kid, doing the voices) and Daffy Duck ... Looney Tunes. It wasn't a regular broadcast though because I haven't found it since.

Gas under 65 cents a gallon - I remember gas, in NYC, at 39.9¢ per gallon.

The Monkees - One of my favorite songs - at four years old - was "Steppin' Stone"

Rowen and Martin Laugh in - Sock it to me!

Televisions and Stereos with Vacuum tubes - I still have a stereo with tubes.

Records - I own quite a few of these, also; all KISS and Aerosmith first releases on vinyl.

The next big thing, 8 track tapes - I think I was right on the cusp of this one. I think they came out in my lifetime but I was too young (and not old enough to be buying my own music) to remember the hula baloo.

Star Trek on NBC - I wish! I would have been part of Bjo's campaign to save the show.

The premier of MASH - As well as the premier of "All In the Family". I remember my grandparents, trying to figure out the words to the song ("Gee, our old LaSalle ran great ...") and me, being the one to figure them out.

The first Moon landing - Our school opened up for those that didn't have televisions to watch it and video-taped it (on the old ¾" machine) to be played, when we came back to school in September.

Saturday morning cartoons, Our Gang reruns, Hopalong Cassidy and the Lone Ranger.

Gas at 24 cents a gallon during local service station price wars.

Daydream Believer, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Last Train to Clarksville, I'm a Believer, .............

Wanna taste my Walnetto?

Tube radios even in cars.

My mother still has some old 78's

Had a stereo that would record 8 tracks. One of my first 8 track tapes was by Deep Purple.

We didn't have a TV when Star Trek first ran, but I remember well going to school and all the other kids were talking about it.

I remember the M*A*S*H movie and the first TV show. I was afraid the TV show would be a let-down after the movie. Was happily proven wrong.

And of course remember the moon landing.

It was the "Monkees", Jeff. And I remember all of those things, which somehow doesn't make me feel so hot right now. While I don't specifically remember Apollo 11, I do recall the moon shots from 15-17 and SkyLab.

I remember most of these.

And age is just a number. Like the number 3. The number of shekels I was paid to babysit Jesus.

(What, you thought I looked like this by coincidence?)

Well... some of those options are specifically American.

But for me......

Saturday Morning Cartoons
You don't have these any more??
We still have loads on UK TV
Not so keen on some of the modern ones but sometimes you still see some of the old favourites.

Gas under 65 cents a gallon
I can remember when petrol (gas) went up to 2/6d a gallon.
That's 12.5p in new money - about 18 cents.
Considering our prices here are around $10 a gallon these days.

The Monkeys
I watched all the shows over here.
Stupid but brilliant!!

Rowen and Martin Laugh in
Don't know this one. Probably never made it over here.

Televisions and Stereos with Vacuum tubes?
We had those!
A Radio Rentals rented TV with a 9" monochrome screen in a huge wooden cabinet!
Radios that took 3-4 minutes to warm up before you could hear anything.

Records
I left a load of 12" singles and LP's with a friend in FL only 10 years ago.

The next big thing, 8 track tapes
My dad bought one for the car.
The first 8-track they bought was the Carpenters

Star Trek on NBC
Over here it was on the BBC and I remember the first pilot episode.
I downloaded the complete James T Kirk series last year, swiftly followed by The Next Generation.

The premier of MASH
Never liked it so never watched it.
Wasn't my brand of humour.

The first Moon landing
I was a teenager when that happened.
I sat and watched it broadcast live on the BBC - and the reruns!

We still have what passes for cartoons these days, but they just aren't the same as the old Looney Tunes and Disney cartoons we had as a kid.

I remember them all. Gas was 32.9 cents/gallon when I got my license.

I also remember the amazing spectacle of color TV being a regular broadcast feature for all programs in (I think) 1964 (or was it 1963?).

As for records I remember 78's and 16's as well as 33's and 45's

I can remember my mom pulling into the Redhead gas station and getting "a dollar's worth of regular" and it would last her all week. It was 25 cents a gallon, maybe even a little less. I was a wee tyke.

We still have a drive-in theater about a mile and a half from where I live. Haven't been in years, though.

Ahem.....

Oh, damn.... Forgot what this string was about.

Later.....
ETA: I remember (as a city boy) not Drive-Ins, but continuous movies.  You went in at ANY time and as they slid by you on their way out, you'd hear people say, "Excuse me.  This is where I came in."

I remember whole milk at 50 cents per half-gallon.  That was one of my "chores" - to walk a long city block to the "corner store" with two quarters in hand.  Sometimes I'd get a few cents for penny candy.

Since my family was "in the trade," we had one of the first private air-conditioners.  1955 (?)  Thing took up a big-ass closet in the apartment.  Probably 4' x 4' x 6'  To be fair, that was also the furnace.  Living room had "indirect lighting" which was florescent tubes laid in gutters at the ceiling.  Fiberglass drapes in a gray "Atomic" pattern on white were hung all the way around.

Lots of memories reading some of these things but a thought just occurred on the Tv programmes....

We had 3 TV channels when I was growing up, and to have a Saturday morning where not one but two were dedicated to kids was pretty bloody cool Imo. I also loved World of sport come afternoon time, or the Saturday movie matinee, usually a spaghetti western. Nowadays I have hundreds of channels of mostly shite dross that you couldn't pay me to watch!! Swapsies anyone? I'd trade back in a heartbeat.

I still like to watch reruns of old westerns like Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Guns of Will Sonnet, Rifleman, The Big Valley, etc.

Saturday morning cartoons.
My favorites were The Friendly Giant & Caspar.
Gas under 65 cents a gallon.
Now it's up to $3.77/gal here.
The Monkees.
I watched their show and had their records. lol
Laugh In.
Yep.
Records.
Loads of 'em!
Eight tracks.
They were a big deal when they first came out.
Star Trek on NBC.
I remember our TV didn't have a good antenna back then. My brother & I took turns holding the coat hanger the lead-in was attached to. lol
The Premier of MASH.
The whole family watched it.
The first Moon landing.
I still remember where I was. My parents were playing Canasta in the living room and I was sitting on the floor watching it on TV. It was really super-fuzzy.

I'm not sure about the TVs and stereos w/ vacuum tubes. I didn't know how they were made. lol

OMFG! Am I that old!?
