The problem in dealing with people is the fact you're dealing with people. And 'leaving the lifestyle' is a bad way to put it. I simply stopped doing the things that go with the scene for almost twenty years, but I never 'left' anything. It was always there, I simply didn't have the time or motivation to keep it going.

I can't say I've noticed any difference between kinky and non kinky in terms of this. Just as you get nice people from all walks of like, you also get arsewipes.

The very nature of the lifestyle means there will be more big egos then in the vanilla world. If you have a dominant personality and are immature you will often respond to challenges with anger.

I agree with Dripman. I haven't found anything is worse in the BDSM community compared to everyday life.

I don't think we have enough information.

Perhaps this is about getting into polyamory or multiple play partners without fully working it out with one's primary partner first. That could arguably be a reason why the green-eyed monster rears its head in the lifestyle more. Going to a play party or a dungeon, folks scantily clad doing erotic stimulating things to each other --- that's going to invite arousal in onlookers and that's fodder for jealousy.

We don't have a context.
