I have a cannon, I'd like to know what special cable or accessories do I need to upload video's off the cam corder onto my pc?

Man, you have to be WAY more specific than that.  There are about 1500 models of Canon camcorders, and they can interface in different ways.

The two main ways:

Get a TV Capture card with composite inputs, or use a composite to coax convertor.  Composite to the camcorder outputs, coax to the capture card.

Firewire from the camcorder (usually DV camcorders) to either a firewire add-in card or a firewire port built in to either the front or back of the computer.  Most new multimedia computers have one.  They look similar to a USB port, just bigger.  Certain sound cards, such as the Audigy 2 from Creative also have them built in.

There is support on the Canon web site for that. But, I can tell you right off you are going to need a special cable. And software that will allow you to access the files you're creating. If you have a Macintosh, this will be a WHOLE LOT EASIER because you can use imovie as the software. If you have a Wibndows/PC, good luck.
