To me it shows we humans are not much different in our sexual rituals... ours can be strange and beautiful as well.

I would agree with that.

That's some serious shaking a tail feather.

I think this is the most beautiful nature piece I've seen to date. I couldn't get over the clarity, colors and details. I shared it with all my friends. Thank you SO MUCH - loved it!

My favorite is the black one. At times he looked like a miniature Dracula.

I know! Wasn't that amazing.

Look like they are straight from an animated film, changing their posture and feathers to look like something else. I like the one who turns this throat feathers from a brilliant color to basic black by turning them a different direction.

VERY COOL!

Such variety and beauty, the natural world never loses the power to astonish. I love the one that looked like a heart with those tail plumes surrounding it.

Absolutely exquisite - I only wish human males were more like these birds in their courtship efforts

The sound track got to me... memories of being waked by the bloody mating birds at 5am after having to work to 3am...

There are some down sides to Hawaii. <grin>

More pretty birds

Worthy of a bump for those who didn't see the thread starter video.

The pictures repeat after the names of the birds are given. not as impressive as the birds of paradise video but the peacock is wow.
