How does one keep from getting bored in general? By doing something that stimulates them or that they find exciting. Depending on what type of Domme you are or what type of relationship you have with your sub or slave might determine what might excite you. I was taught growing up that only "stupid" people get bored. So I always have something in my back pocket to keep me interested. In your vanilla life what makes you excited or interested. For me, this week I'm going to see the Spider-Man movie. Whether I leave my sub tied up in a room with his ass red and burning is another issue. I'm not selfish, just stubborn and usually right. Nobody and no thing can wield that sort of power over me. If I find my submissive boring to be around, then I've chosen the wrong person to be with and vice versa. I'm straight and a handful of Dommes I know are straight. I know one who is bisexual and one who is lesbian. (There's a bisexual female Switch I don't know very well.) How could I not prefer an intelligent man to one who can't think for himself or carry on a decent conversation? That would be absurd. ETA: P.S. Another dead giveaway you've been watching too much porn -- We aren't called Dominatrices. Dominatrix is a term from the 70's or 80's for a pro-Domme or for-hire BDSM provider.

I keep hearing about "doormats" but I have yet to really run across one. Personally, I see nothing wrong with someone who is willing to do whatever it takes.
