It certainly galls many Americans to see a black man representing the USA abroad.

Fuck you, Cloudboy.

Fuck me as well then, because Cloudboy has it spot on. Just ask Police Commissioner Robert Copeland [8|]

Just another liberal slinging an accusation of racism absent a shread of evidence. Not a shred of personal decency, integrity honor. Just shilling for the dimocrat.

Are you refering to me, if so.

Yes dopey bollocks, despite voting Conservative most of my life, I am a liberal. Why ? because I dont agree with your fuckwit opinions.

Lets just reming you that calling the President the N word is indeed racist to most normal thinking people. What say you ?

"Grading" the President's foreign policy might be more meaningful if we first establish a rubric for the project.

A few thoughts toward a rubric:
(a) What should be the paramount goal of U.S. foreign policy?
(b) Below or within that, what are the next three key goals?
(c) What initiatives can the U.S. undertake to achieve those goals?
(d) How and when can we determine the success or failure of a foreign policy initiative?

Who the fuck do you think you are? Bringing logic and order to the chaos that is P&R. What were you thinking?!?!?!?

Fuck me as well then,

You've got it, Polite.

My President is fully incompetent in his conduct of foreign policy, and we may very well end up paying a horrible price for it. Your country might too, but I can't say I much give a shit.

Just as I wouldn't have my objections to this country invading Afghanistan or Iraq silenced by someone saying I was unpatriotic, I'll not have my thoughts regarding the idiotic pollyannaism of the current administration shut down by some fuckwit with a slur to fling.

Yes, there are racists, just as there are mindlessly hateful liberals who will run around with a "he's not my President" bumper sticker on their Prius, when a President they disagree with is in office.

You trimmed Cloudboys quote, not me. The part you left in is 100% correct, I am sorry if that disturbs you. Like you, I wont pussyfoot around either, I call it as I see it. Judged by the posts on Collarme regards Obama, racism is alive and kicking.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, why don't you link a few of the racist comments people have made about Obama on Collarme. I am sure it won't take but a minute if the problem is as bad as you claim.

cloudboy -> RE: NYT: Grading Obama's Foreign Policy (5/19/2014 5:49:42 AM)

Have you been living in a hole? Didn't you see any of the tea party signs, placards, and banners?

Look at the hyperbolic vitriol over a centrist, conservative, dull-ish family man in the White House. Where does the hysteria come from?

Look at the Heretic's reaction and his claim that:

"My President is fully incompetent in his conduct of foreign policy, and we may very well end up paying a horrible price for it."

What on earth is he even talking about? He articulates nothing. There's zero substance. There's zero exposition. But, there's a lot of anger, resentment, and hostility. Back in the day he wouldn't even refer to Obama by his real name, instead preferring to call him "Barry" as a way of bring him down. In discussing Syria, the Heretic hated what Obama was doing, but he himself had no alternative solutions to offer.

If we kept all the same foreign policies and just switched out the man -- 10-1 he'd be perfectly placated.

cloudboy -> RE: NYT: Grading Obama's Foreign Policy (5/19/2014 5:57:21 AM)

Exactly, you need some exposition.

Foreign Policy Goals:

#1: Recover from the mistakes of the BUSH Administration.

#2: Do no harm and don't make conflicts worse.

#3: Learn to lead more from behind and encourage our partners to play a more active role.

#4: Elevate the status of the State Department over the Military

#5: Solidify ties with our allies and set an example to the world of what prosperity and rule of law look like.

#6: Strive to set some international standards for environmental protections and also lead by example

#7 Strive to set a positive example in human rights, religious tolerance, and acceptance of individuals who vary from the norm (gays.)

#8 Try to foster economic development in Central America to help stem the flow illegal immigration.

The article at the link isn't all that remarkable for what is says. It's largely old news. What makes it interesting is that it is coming from the New York Times.

It not only is not remarkable for what it says, Ross Douthat is a 'conservative' columnist there, it is not at all interesting that it comes from the NYT. Wouldn't be the first article they have published that does not take Obamas side.

And never let us forget the shill reporter the W administration had feeding the nutsacker line on Iraq there.

Nothing remarkable in either content or actions there.

You couldnt spot a fail if it hit you on the arse. There have been loads of racist posts about Obama and if you think I am trawling through sis years of posts (8 if you count pre 2008 election) then you need to give your head a shake.

You made a claim, you were asked to back it up, and you failed to do so because you're full of shit.

See how that works? Thanks for playing.

Good point - I should have chosen my words more carefully to show I was talking about a larger group of at large Americans. I apologize for the mistake.

Likewise. I'm glad I edited my post. Clearly the first version was undeserved.

Have you had your head buried in the sand? Don't you remember any of Obama's racist comments and actions?

Look at who named him the most left-of-center, socialist, do nothing ("Present") Senator...his fellow Illinois State AND U.S. Senators. Where does the prevaricating come from?

Look at cloudboy's "Foreign Policy Goals:" and his failure to state how Obama achieved any of them.

Musicmystery -> RE: NYT: Grading Obama's Foreign Policy (5/19/2014 8:33:36 AM)

As I've already stated, I'm not an Obama fan here, other than he has the sense not to just invade everywhere.

But this begs the question. So what *are* the policy objectives, and what would get us there (without causing new problems)?

Because I'm not hearing any solutions, here or in Washington.

RacerJim -> RE: NYT: Grading Obama's Foreign Policy (5/19/2014 8:53:48 AM)

As it should be perfectly clear from my posts on here, I'm not an Obama fan, especially/specifically because he has stated and shown no respect for the U.S. Constitution.

The U.S. Constitution mandates that the President-elect take the following Oath of Office: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

That answers the question. The President's first and foremost policy objective is to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

mnottertail -> RE: NYT: Grading Obama's Foreign Policy (5/19/2014 8:58:22 AM)

LOL. He has stated about no respect for the Constitution?

Nutsackers slobbering per their usual motif. No one can point this out anywhere.
