Yeah, fuck the byu, why not try the google there and see the rules, they are ubiquitous. Learn reality and eschew the nutsacker horseshit of maybe might be.

The mortuary stopped the dumping in 2008 and has since been placing the ashes in urns and formally burying them at sea from aboard Navy ships.

The grim findings included reports that workers had lost body parts and sawed off a soldier's arm so his body would fit in a casket, the Post reported on Tuesday.

Air Force officials blamed the sloppy undertaking on the high number of dead bodies arriving from overseas and other factors that made it difficult to carry out proper burials.
Gen. Norton A. Schwartz, the Air Force chief of staff, said the military heard about the problems in May 2010 after whistleblowers complained that shoddy management had turned the mortuary into a house of horrors.
Three of the mortuary's supervisors, a colonel who was in charge and two civilians, were identified for turning a blind eye to the messy work.
However, they were not fired, Schwartz said, because they didn’t act deliberately.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WBphxAsWFA (right there from Faux even)

Military policy or regulations did not formally authorize the practice. The mortuary has handled the remains of more than 6,300 troops since 2001. (you can goddamn believe that!!!)

Question becomes, why did W forbid the filming of the dead coming back to Dover, remember that? And how many nutsackers were in on the conspiracy?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/07/report-remains-of-troops_n_1135592.html

More than 2700 in that landfill. So the conspiracy grows. watch the cast.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2011/11/09/142189920/air-force-mortuary-dumped-remains-of-war-dead-in-landfill

And they admit that they were American War Dead, all of them.

And you think we are going to let these cowardly craven nutsackers run this country ever again? Gone, but not forgotten.

He is as responsible for this as Obama is for Benghazi, he is the cincUSA, and he appointed the guy head of the AirForce, or for the nutsackers borrowing and spending and insuring the steady undoing of America thru free market communism, and their nazistic destruction and dismissal of our constitution with voter id laws and abortion laws, and same sex marraige bans.

Big difference is that Obama did not authorize a military response, so he was in part responsible.

W was CinC while the USAF was doing this. so yes he is responsible for this.

You are aware that was an argument for puttying Calley's CO up for a court martial, except he had no clue what was happening at Mai Lai.

Calley's CO was involved in the cover up and should have the cell right next to his.

Well, there really was no cell for Calley, he went house arrest to BOQ. Couple years later the bru ha ha had died down and he was let go.

Which was wrong too. He should have spent a long stretch at Leavenworth.

Lets do it this way, lets have a documentary, showing the landfills in america, put it on prime time the 26th, and say, this is where your MIA, KIA and loved ones are being interred here at the national cemetery, city dump, as a rememberence to their service to our great nation, where they will be surrounded by debris and stench and peaceful while skunks eat whats left, and dogs run around chewing on their nuts.

I approve this message, vote nutsacker 2014.

Big stuff there, guys. Own the shit.

Igor's post kind of got me thinking one way. I like his thinking generally, but your responses to everyone in this thread have been compelling. I am persuaded that your outrage is more than justified.

You are right that Republicans have few if any big/good ideas about government except for ways to defund it, neuter it, or otherwise dismantle it. The exception is the military and wars -- but the Republican's record here is entirely deplorable -- long on empty rhetoric and short on execution and success.

you make it sound like there are 274 families who didn't get a funeral/flag because their loved one's bodies were cremated then disposed of...

Only someone who had not read the op would think that?

noo just someone who reads and UNDERSTANDS ENGLISH

I don't know why you think it says that because I don't. No where does it say she did not get a flag or a casket or a body...the article is quite clear that it was some of the appendages that she did not get.

I really don't see any difference between a paupers field and a landfill.

No one here would expect you to

Show me the posts of who is upset by this? I've read a whole lot of "I don't give a shit."

#13, #29, #34 (you take the issue and turn it into your own pet peeve), #39 (the bar is lower than low for him), #50 (trying to be dismissive).

No one in those posts said they don't give a shit so I guess it's the voices in your head again...thanks for clearing that up.

I have a feeling if you get past the journalist hype for sales from the original article you may find that the Army, in fact most of the DoD, will contract out burials of unclaimed bodies and unidentifiable human remains to a low bid contractor. Soooo, the low bid contractor funeral that was supposed to be dignified ended up being cremation and the cremains sent to the local landfill. A good example of outsourcing and low bid contracting at its worst.

Handling of human remains comes under state law. Most of the states I've had dealings with require embalming, cremation, or interment within 72 hours of death unless the body is held for investigation. (Health laws from the 1930s led do this.) This is totally, from a legal standpoint, a different issue from biomedical waste. The EPA stopped the practice of hospitals having incinerators to sterilize biomedical waste back in the 1970s. So now it has to be containerized and shipped as hazmat to a treatment and processing facility.

I remember doing burials at sea aboard a submarine. It was done with dignity and ceremony but it still came down to the fact that the urn of cremains was put in a perforated steel can and shot out the trash disposal unit. (there is no other safe way to do it on a Sub... we tried to figure one out but that was the only way viable way)

We had more than 70 die in one incident alone.

We lost 129 on the Thresher in 1963 and 99 on the Scorpion in 1968. I have no idea WTF you're talking about.

Isn't that also how they launch the "screamers"???out the back??? while the sub moves off in a different direction?
