Sarah Palin makes a salient point. Even the knuckle-dragging Pablum©-pukers will have to admit to a double-standard.

Screen captures still RULE! Ya feel me?

never said it was, however to make claims that she suffered severe brain trauma that would impair her abilities is pushing it. She is wearing glasses proscribed to people who have suffered damage to optic nerves, from clots, not from some brain injury that impairs her abilities.

If that were the case, you would see very evident signs of such a problem, periodic slurred speech, periods of loss of fine muscle control, among other things.

Personally, I dont think Hillary is qualified simply because of the decisions she made in her personal life, like sticking with Bill after all his affairs.

I dont think Palin is qualified primarily because of her stupid, dumb remarks. She has a severe case of foot in mouth up to your ass disease.

Of all the proposed people to run for president in 2016, I have yet to see someone qualified from either party.

No, she makes an idiotic point.

Her character and history is absolutely relevant, obviously. So is Hilary's.

That a concussion with glass to help with short term vision became deliberately--and make no mistake, it was deliberate--blown up into a serious brain injury that it never was. Hell, who *hasn't* had a concussion, ffs?

It's not an "off-limits" point -- it's a making up shit point.

God, I wish right wingers would take half the creative energy they pour into bullshit and use it to solve actual problems.

Now that's a salient point. Sadly, it'll never happen.

It'd make a good Democratic campaign point, though.

Perhaps there's a double-standard, although I don't think that news organizations digging up and reporting personal stuff on politicians is anything new. I don't know that anything has been declared "off-limits." Sure, there's always going to be people who complain about what the press reports and what they say about politicians or other public figures. It's the usual mud-slinging of politics. Both sides are guilty. Both sides have their own double-standards.

As for the press, they seem to be mostly into the whole "celebrity gossip" thing, so they report a lot of the personal stuff about politicians - which gives them a good excuse to avoid the issues. I'll admit that it does tend to bother me that issues tend to get reduced in favor of gossip and mud-slinging, but the public seems to eat it up. But once politicians enter the arena and mix it up with the rest of them, tacitly accepting these kinds of tactics and the general tone of political rhetoric, I don't know if one has a leg to stand on to complain about the other side playing "foul ball."

Of course, politicians are going to be inconsistent, one-sided, biased - they want to win, so they'll sling mud, dig up dirt - and the press and the public want to hear every sleazy detail. But, yes, I suppose in the spirit of fairness and "equal time," the bullshit should be evenly distributed between both sides so as to avoid any inconsistency or double-standards.

No, that fucking pig has no point, salient or not. Hillary's private life is and was not off limits.

Strange. I've looked and looked and I cannot find any evidence that any high profile Democratic operatives questioned Palin's parentage of her youngest son or any of the rest of that. Palin is full of shit.
