Perhaps asshole is a better word. I am not even sure if this is true. Then again there are a lot of assholes out there. If it is he got exactly what he deserves. I like that one comment where the guy said you've lost her dude, game over.

This kind of thing really bothers me.

The words "polyamory" and "open relationship" get thrown around by people that just have no fucking clue, what-so-ever and it gives my lifestyle a black eye.

I agree with most of the commenters (that I read) that this guy was just a lout who figured he'd be getting more ass than a toilet seat and he didn't seem to understand that just about any lady has an easier time than most men, when it comes to "hooking up" (I'm assuming that was the goal; as opposed to an actual relationship).

The worst part is: this moron is just as likely to repeat the experiment at some point down the road and it will perpetuate the mis-information about polyamory/open relationships and further muddy the waters.

Plus, Polyamory can also mean a closed relationship between three or more people who love each other. It doesnt always mean "open relationship".

BTW is it wierd when the article said "BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE" i read it in Billy Mays' voice, like "In this special TV offer we will also include this box of tissue to wipe your bitter tears, FREE!!"

The article never says polyamory?
I also don't think it spreads misinformation?

He tried, it backfired. That won't be everyone's experience. Especially not with someone more...inclined to think it through.

I know a few couples like that.

I also got a laugh at how this backfired on him. My guess is she brings in good money so he doesn't want to let her go. He obviously does not care for her feelings or he would never have forced an open relationship on her when she was so upset about it in the beginning.
Ultimate smack down will be when she finally leaves him for one of the men she was dating in the open relationship that he pushed on her.
