When beating someone until they are very bloody, I think that if the person has not given their expressed consent to being beaten until they are bleeding then it is abuse. The bad part about that is the fact that if they are bleeding bad enough, this may warrant a trip to the hospital, and then that decision might no longer be up to you, but the doctors and the police.

Well, a good limit if the beating is bloody is to ensure that the blood lost doesn't exceed about 6 quarts, because submissives without any blood in their bodies tend not to serve their Doms well. A modest proposal, indeed.

~FRing it~ It becomes abuse when you cross over the boundary set forth in the person's consent to you. I could tell you peeling the skin off someone's ass as you beat the shit out of them isn't abuse, but are you going to go based of what I think...or what the person whom you are doing this to thinks? This isn't a general consensus type question, OP. It's very subjective and specific to the person being punished. One size does not fit all
