I have always, loved watching people dance, whether couples doing a two step or group mixers. For several years both in Waterloo and then driving to Cedar Rapids went to many dances and simply enjoyed the twirling, spinning, the flowing across the dance floor. Why is it in today's society people aren't willing to go to a dance hall, to a ball room? What has happened and yes, young people, all they know for the most part is shaking about in solo dance, without the graceful exchange of motion, the flow, because, it is old folks dancing? And, when dancing what better flow of physical exercise without getting all sweaty. I think I was born in a wrong era, a wrong time. By, the way, the Grand March we all did on roller skates, was a dance done in the 1800 s and perhaps even further back in time. Here it is, From Fort Apache, The Grand March
