Being stuck on hold, whether it's with your insurance company, the DMV, or a doctors office, and having the most loud and obnoxious music blaring in your ear while you wait. Did I mention loud and obnoxious? [8\|] I wonder if it's the cell phone that makes them sound so horrendous. I don't remember my ears ever being assaulted when using a land line.

I'll see your loud music and raise you ads for medical procedures I don't need. That's what I get when I'm on hold at the (generally wonderful) where I receive most of my care these days. Lately, they've been touting their skill at treating pancreatic cancer, and I'm tempted to respond, "Sound great! I'd like to switch from colorectal please." [8\|]

That has been one of my complaints for years now. Especially when they stop every 30 seconds to reassure me repeatedly that my call is important to them. I used to have both land line and cell phone and if I remember right, it was equally loud and obnoxious on both.

Ha! Got one better...being stuck indoors with nothing to do in a foreign place because you plan to have a gym day via carpool and the annoying carpool buddy acts like driving 20 mins outside of their way is like walking over a lava pit on a tight rope, YET they wanna go clubbing later tonight and drink (NOT HAPPENING!!!!!). Eye roll NEVER DEPEND ON PEOPLE< EVER.

I once called a place looking for a therapist. Their loud, obnoxious music was some kind of circuus tune. What a great thing for those seeking any kind of mental health assistance to hear.
