A long time ago, I was owned by a woman who was a professional dominant. She was also married. Her husband, who was a very attractive male dominant himself, posed in a picture with his wife for one of her ads. He was tied up, face out of picture, but obviously in a very submissive position to her. This was her DDI picture for several years. What ended up happening was that an ABSURD amount of clients came to her, indicating that they could be a much better submissive to her than that guy in the picture. There was absolutely nothing about his tied up pose that even hinted at anything submissive or any behavior at all (he was tied up and completely immobilized), yet guys kept looking at this picture and putting themselves in the same context, convinced that somehow they would "appear" more submissive than "that guy".

Having said that, there have been a few bdsm movies over the years where I've probably said the same thing, and one of them definitely comes to mind. It was one of those Bizarre Productions movies where I remember personally HATING the submissive guy because he was being dominated by this beautiful Asian woman and he kept giving her instructions throughout the entire movie. I remember thinking, it could have been such a GREAT movie, but that stupid submissive kept screwing it up every couple of minutes.

In other words, women do find photos of submissive men sexy and attractive. (I'm sure this depends on orientation.) If this is true and describes you -- could you say what photos of men you find attractive?

For me, it's not so much the attractiveness of a man that snags me, it's his submissiveness. Sure, a pretty face is nice but, if he's not submissive, he's not who/what I want. I particularly like pictures of men tied in rope. I love everything about rope. How it looks, how it feels in my hands, the smell(yes, rope does have a characteristic smell depending on what it's made of), the beauty of the different knots etc. So that creeps into my kinkiness. Rope and, also, I like strap-on porn if I'm going to look at porn(which isn't often). My only issue w/ strap-on porn is, a lot of times, the women look so scripted like they don't really like what they're doing.

... unless they're Dommes. We're always in demand. [;)]

Hey, why do you care what the dudes in these pornshows look like?

The guys just don't look good. They rarely emote anything sexy or strong. There's a complete lack of individuality. It is somewhat frightening to associate one's self with them.

Malesubs are also at the bottom of the social and BDSM totem pole -- and these images seem to sink us further underground and into irrelevance.

In photos femsubs look better, but their selection and placement in photos is a higher priority. Also, my hetero-orientation is friendlier to women, so there's a bias.

Wanted to know if women saw these things the same way.

SweetlySadistic1: Thanks for sharing. I'm wondering how men can effectively pull off their part in strap-on porn. The reverse engineering of it makes it difficult -- each person is receiving secondary stimulation (for the woman things are psychological / and the man is not going to orgasm) well outside of traditional corporal roles.

Here the corporal act is maybe less sexy than a photo of a woman preparing to assert herself.

There is a lot of negative baggage for men here -- assuming a super, non-traditional role.

Left off a smiley to indicate I was kidding around. (You might have gotten the wrong idea if I'd winked at you twice. [:)] )

What you're saying is exactly why I don't like watching FemDom porn and find nothing arousing in how scenes, how Dommes, and how male s-types are depicted.
Don't care for hardcore porn either, where nearly every woman is portrayed as wantonly willing to get gang-banged. [:'(]

You've got Cmail, btw.

No worries. Overall the feedback has been excellent.

We can complain all we want to about the porn industry, but if there was no market to feed, it couldn't continue to churn out drivel and/or low-budget product. I wonder how many of you (mainly) men subscribe to this FemDom porn on line? I've given this some more thought and done some rethinking.

Perhaps not you and a good number of other submissive males, but there is a segment of the fetish/kink-driven population out there who is caught up in humiliation & punishment dynamics, including acts of extreme degradation. Can you realistically expect to find proper role models for you to identify with? Look at what gratuitous avenue you are pursuing. Indirectly, I'd like to give credit to a forum exchange on a totally different topic with slavekate80 for opening my eyes. We don't want our D/s or BDSM leanings to be dictated to. But neither do we have the right to be intolerant of what doesn't float our boat or pass judgment on others who are humiliation-oriented, and who are the ones supporting the proliferation of porn that many of us find so subjectively objectionable.
