So I'm curious: What do folks think about the "Feisty Dialog" section, with its relaxed moderation, now that we've taken it for a few test drives?

The big plus I see is that it likely lessens the burdens of our overworked volunteer moderators.

The big minus, at least in P&R, is a huge spike in static at the expense of substance.

Others' opinions?

Nah. The kind of exchanges are the same. They are just more honest and straightforward now. When some blankety-blank-blank-blank responds to any criticism of this President by throwing out the "racist" slur, there is no mincing words in giving that the only response it deserves.

Of course, we do have some who are a bit like the girl in Paul, but they'll learn, or perish.

What I'm finding interesting is the lack of interest in the moderated P&R section, and that one poster who runs around being a jerk in there, but won't go downstairs.

I do think it might be a good idea to pull the P&R dungeon posts out of the scroll, though. They can be a bit harsh for the delicate sensibilities of the "my way is the only twue way" wimplings. Think of it as soundproofing the playroom.

Damned if i can see any difference DC.. There is only one asshole who can't seem to make a post without calling someone an idiot in bold letters... I just ignore him as I did in the old forum.
