RIP Stephenie

I did not know her, but friends did, and they speak of her bravery as she tried to live a life authentic to her self. If there is an afterlife, I hope she is now the person she was born to be.

It is shocking to me that 45 years after Christine Jorgenson, 25 years after Jan Morris, that this is still happening.

I can only imagine the anguish that those born in the wrong body must endure. It is very moving that Stephenie did at least find acceptance and compassion at the end of her life.
