Shockingly, you are mistaken. While there is no actual Tea Party, there are many Tea party candidates.

In that sense, there are Farmer candidates and Academic candidates and Midwestern candidates and Jewish candidates and Blue Dog candidates. But nobody's running on the Tea Party line, because there isn't one. They'll need a different door, and those gatekeepers decide who's the candidate. Even then -- you've got the Ann Coulters, who said they'd vote for Hillary before McCain, because she was more conservative than him. And it's true -- she's not much of a progressive. Last time, she ran against, not for. Any nutsacker can do that.

I'm all for bad news for Hillary. Not a fan. My concern is whether a viable Democrat or Independent will step up to challenge her. In the old days, I'd hope for a reasonable Republican nominee, but (1) that doesn't seem likely in this Republican culture and (2) given that since 2000 the Republicans have been the party of rubber stamping, I can't trust the man over the party.
