There are power tripping mods and there are mods who look after friends which is clearly evident in some topics. Majority are good but what should happen is like in every other forum in the world and the mods use their main user name in conversations with the term "moderator" after it.

I think people would be surprised to see how certain mods and chatters who get away with anything are one and the same....

Actually, that hasn't happened with this team. Everyone hates us. [:D]

If you show us your nekkid bodies we won't hate y'all!!
I'm just tryin to help out. [:)

I'm thinking there's something here.

They have to be bad so you can stay good! There is absolutely nothing moderate about then. A great bunch of girls to be sure!¬ Just make sure that you are not on the end of one of their bullwhips are cattle prodders.

But can moderators especially new one cause more damage than good in a conversation?

Well I've watched over-moderation completely shut a forum down, so I'd say that's clearly bad. It also seems to me like under-moderation as in allowing tone trolling and the hazing of new posters causes problems (from which this site has chronically suffered).

However, I don't think that's what you're asking. For those very used to the way things were any difference is likely to be met with "hey that's not how it's supposed to be" and with different moderators there's bound to be differences in tone and interpretation.
