joether -> Just More Useless Crap from the GOP/TP (6/25/2014 10:47:55 AM)

"House Speaker John Boehner announced Wednesday he plans to file suit against President Obama over his alleged abuse of executive power." Mr. Boehner contends that President Obama is both arrogant and incompetent. The story is found here....on FOX News. (Mouthpiece of the GOP/TP) Three things come to mind here: 1 ) Hypocrisy that no Republicans nor Tea Party charged former President Bush who was worlds more arrogant and incompetent as a US President. When I hear the words 'arrogant' and 'incompetent' in the same sentence with 'US President', President Obama does not come to mind. Nor President Clinton whom Republicans once blamed for the same. No, 'arrogance' and 'incompetence' are two words easily found in a google search with 'US President' to find, George W. Bush. When that guy was in office, Republicans controlled the House and Senate, yet not once did they bring up the issue. Even thought it was clear to everyone with a brain in the nation. Just like with the 13 Benghazi-like moments that took place under G.W. Bush's two terms in office, the Republicans blame President Obama for the one time it happened on his watch. That they were against good health care for all Americans while they enjoyed the best healthcare short of being a rich snob (like most Republicans are anyways). 2 ) What has Congress done for this nation in the last two years? The President has been a very busy man for the last two years. Handling issues both foreign and domestic. Trying to help the American people out where he could, given the complete gridlock that is known as 'Congress'. The whole issue of the Veterans affairs is not his responsibility, but Congress (and of the 14 Republican/Tea Party and 11 Democrats on the committee). While he took the blame of the NSA spying issue; Is it entirely his fault, but past Presidents? Like G. W. Bush and that 'Patriot Act' shortly after 9/11? I always get a chuckle how often conservatives/libertarians can not hold the Republican/Tea Party to the same level of accountability and responsibility with power as they slam the President on an hourly basis. If they did, we'd have better government practically overnight! 3 ) A theater act meant to remove attention from the failures of the GOP/TP and focus it on the Democrats before an election. What do you do when you have absolutely NOTHING to offer the American people out of their many problems? You blow smoke screens so thick the truth stays hidden. When nosy journalists or actual Americans start hammering on you to answer actual questions; you use misdirection tactics like blaming the other party. For the last few months, what material has come from the Republicans in Congress? Any as well known as the Affordable Care Act? Course not, because that would imply the GOP/TP of doing its job, rather than slacking off. Its bad enough they get more vacation days then most Europeans; but when they do absolutely nothing useful....its just shameful if not criminal! Take the VA Hospitals. Republicans and Tea Partiers for a long time have stated they value the veterans that have found the wars (so they and their kids don't have to). Yet when those veterans come for some help, the GOP/TP manifests sudden amnesia and hangs 'em all out to dry. There are 14 Republicans and 11 Democrats on the VA Affairs Committee in the House. What was the Speaker of the House doing, while this failure was taking place? Can you say 'incompetent'? And the smoke screens? Yes, the plural of 'smoke screen', since there have been so many? Take your pick: Benghazi, Iraq, Bergdahl, Ukraine. Why not the US Budget? Oh that's right, Sen. Ted Cruz (a Republican) tried to shut the US Government down completely. Or on healthcare for all Americans (including the veterans)? Yeah, the Republican/Tea Party is fully against that. Or any of the other hundreds of problems that are currently stalled in the House due to petty politics on the side of the Republican/Tea Party?
