Update:

The breathing tube is out, so he is able to talk. He mentions being hungry and bored. Still no strength to use a laptop, he did do a couple of texts.

Cmail me for his room number so he can have visitors or well-wishers call him.

DC is in little to no pain as of now. He is completely bored now (he should of brought a few games or books IMO) but if you are in the Washington DC area, he is at Georgetown University Hospital. Front desk should point you in the right direction.

DC has been moved now to another room where he can accept flowers! Same floor for those who call so he might have a direct line from the nurses' station. Everything is coming up peachy, just a wee bit of pain. They are talking of moving him to the National Rehab Hospital where he went after his neck surgery. He is enjoying the calls, visits and cards.

DC barely got any sleep last night, worried about rehabbing himself. He should be moved to the rehab hospital next week.

Meanwhile, text him people! He will response better to those than emails.

Hi folks-
DC settled into a rehab center over the weekend. He's starting intensive PT and OT today!

If anyone would like me to pass along a short message, I'll be happy to text it to him.
