Union, Union, Union...
Labor unions did a great deal for the American worker. Then, they just devolved into another type of big business.
Closed shop states where you can be compelled to pay union dues whether you want to join a union or not ends up being a racket. The union local is the crooks you have to pay in order to keep your job. All too often, the local is run by a clique that does what benefits the clique and cares not for the rank and file of members. Been there, paid my required union baksheesh, and tried to stay under the radar of the goon squad.
