Over the years, the vibes we've owned have died. And some had weird size batteries that became impossible to buy once the camera store closed.

So this morning he mentions that he ordered one. I'm pretty nervous it will be too intense. And as it's a lot of money, if so can you lessen the intensity by putting a washcloth between it and me?

One suggestion I've found is to start by putting a towel in between it and you, then switch to a t-shirt or other lighter fabric as you get warmed up, and finally remove all barriers and go to town.

You'll probably need it, as they are EXTREMELY intense when you're not yet used to that level of vibration. Once you get accustomed to jackhammer-like levels of stimulation, I'm sure it's fine.

~FRing it~

I can't really offer insight as I've never had a problem with more intense sensations, so when my guy uses the Hitachi on me...it feels perfectly fine. That thing leaves me jellied when he is done with me...it feels that good to me [:)]. Like RockaRolla, I've heard the same thing as far as progression goes if someone needs it.

mnottertail -> RE: Hitachi (7/1/2014 2:39:35 PM)

Des, if you are very sensitive, it might be you need to have it to yourself for awhile, god.......dont use a washcloth, maybe nylon panties, take it real easy........maybe use some heavy (like vasaline lube too) you build up resistance, know what I mean? I just had this talk with a couple of someones, who thought nope not never ever never ever never gonna work, cant do it, killing me.

They are both running it like a jackhammer on the 3rd Street Tunnel Project, and are several years behind on Big Bang Theory now, having little time for anything else.

DesFIP -> RE: Hitachi (7/1/2014 6:29:39 PM)

Thanks for the suggestions. Being unable to walk afterwards I was expecting.

SinfulBashful -> RE: Hitachi (7/1/2014 11:44:24 PM)

Its so intense that I cant even feel it on the high setting. If its too much just barley touching yourself with it is one way to cut that down.

I have broken hitachis too... they do break! Just don't use it under the covers, drop it, or run the motor so long it burns up.

DesFIP -> RE: Hitachi (7/2/2014 6:41:42 PM)

I have a feeling I'm not going to be the one running it. Or able to stop it. I'm not that good on getting out of bondage.

Gauge -> RE: Hitachi (7/3/2014 11:20:57 AM)

I thought that Hitachi was no longer making the vibrator in question because they didn't want it associated with a sex toy.

If they are, anyone got a link for them?

SeekingTrinity -> RE: Hitachi (7/3/2014 11:46:44 AM)

I think the talk was just removing the Hitachi brand name from it, but still producing it as a "wand massager". At least according to an article written in 2013 anyway.

Funcouple1020 -> RE: Hitachi (7/3/2014 6:09:34 PM)

On the suggestion of a friend I went to Harbor Freight and bought a speed regulator. It cost under $20 and works great with the Hitatchi!

My questions are:

1) What made them think a giant vibrating object wouldn't be used sexually, and
2) How long did it take them to realize this?

GentledSub -> RE: Hitachi (7/10/2014 5:22:29 PM)

By far, hands down, the best vibrator ever. It is VERY intense on the high speed. I usually say it can make a dead woman cum. If your partner/Dom is skilled in knowing your body, he will become skilled with knowing how you react to the wand. I can assure you that if you are bound, you will be pulling horribly to get away or close your legs because of the intensity (and sensitivity, especially if he uses is on you continuously while cumming, or right afterward) that the wand produces. I agree with the poster about letting you experiment with it at first by yourself to see how you react and what you can handle. But I liken it to the Amex Card - you don't leave home without it. It blows all other vibrators away, and you don't have to worry about the batteries dying out on you! Enjoy!

Nothing, they've known exactly what it would be used for all along. Nobody used to talk about it publicly though. The Japanese were fine producing it for it's intended purpose as long as nobody made a public deal about it, they don't want the brand name (a major one in Japan, 300,000 employees) openly discussed as a sex toy though (gotta save face).

DesFIP -> RE: Hitachi (7/10/2014 6:18:37 PM)

Box arrived today but we probably won't try it out till the weekend.
Is it very loud? Because noise is an emotional trigger for me and I guess I ought to know if he'll need to give me earplugs.

Ask him to turn it on in another room and have him find out. You might want to begin to walk into the room he is in and see if the volume is something you can tolerate. Personally, the one knock-off that I have isn't all that loud to me, but it does make a little noise.

Best wishes to you and enjoy!

evilgoddesskate -> RE: Hitachi (8/29/2014 5:19:41 PM)

It's pretty loud, and like everyone else said pretty intense. I'd second the suggestion of having him turn it on in another room first.

Tantriqu -> RE: Hitachi (8/29/2014 5:37:38 PM)

Love the Hitachi: the peace of mind of an [almost] guaranteed orgasm -- must be like being a dude!

Just remember the four W's: you have to feel wet, warm, wide and wild before use. That is, *make sure you're aroused before you use the vibe* from foreplay, fantasy and/or masturbation; most women can't go from 0 to 60, which I think is the cause of many complaints.
Start using it against the vulva when you're aroused to at least ¬ 7/10 [pressure], then gradually try against the clitoris [friction].
If you haven't come within a minute or two, turn it off, and go back to step 1 until you're back to 8/10, then try again.

Noise is all relative: I don't find it's noisier than a lot of battery-operated vibes; quieter than kitchen appliances!

Yes, the motor does wear down, and your guaranteed orgasm may be out of reach until you buy a new one: frequency and pressure are everything!

*Don't* use vaseline: can cause yeast and other infections. Use plenty of any warmed water-base lube; Astroglide for us, and make sure you re-apply frequently. Handy to transfer the lube to a metal pump-bottle [conducts heat and can re-apply one-handed] and rest it against a hot-water bottle ready for use.
Likewise, don't use fabric between you and the vibe which can be drying.

ymmv.

Good luck, and enjoy!

orgasmdenial12 -> RE: Hitachi (8/30/2014 4:01:14 AM)

I dunno what you can do. I hate vibrators and can't make them pleasurable for me no matter what I do. I end up just gritting my teeth and bearing it.

Doncroyd -> RE: Hitachi (8/30/2014 5:28:34 PM)

Wands come in a number of styles, sizes, and power.

For noise level just try a few out.

I personally use a rechargeable one so there are no problems with a lead. I have never had it run out of power, i do make sure i manage the batteries properly with the occasional complete discharge. If the battery does get low just plug it in.

They do do an excellent job. I always liked the look on one of my past subs when it came out of the toy box. On one occasion i remember her desperately trying to crawl backwards up the bed as the post orgasm sensitivity kicked in until she was trapped against the headboard. Another time she knocked the chair she was strapped to over with the convulsions.
Happy days.
