ORIGINAL: DesideriScuri It's really tough to gauge who was a better President by polling current voters. When you have a span of 69 years worth of Presidents, the younger the respondent, the less likely he/she is to actually have a clue about the older Presidents. I can honestly say that any President prior to Reagan isn't going to bring any direct experience from me, and Reagan's Presidency can only bring up non-political experiences. Did Quinnipiac U give adequate time for respondents to read up on the policies, and programs of each President under consideration and then give more time to weight those policies and programs against the state of society during those times? I doubt it. How can I rate Nixon and Carter when I wasn't old enough to understand what they were doing? It's almost like arguing who was the best running back of all time, Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, or Adrian Peterson. If you haven't seen all 4, how can you really have an informed opinion? On further consideration... I have memories of JFK, reminding us to ask not what our country can do for us, standing up to leftists on the world stage rather than ushering in our own failed Marxist state, and starting us on our trips to the moon so we could learn how to compete with the USSR's new missile successes. I recall LBJ and Vietnam, Nixon and Vietnam and China and Watergate, Ford, the pardon, and Vietnam, Carter and his misery index, basically telling us to turn off the thermostat and dim the lights because America's greatest days were over, and his mealy-mouthed response to the latest violent Islamic uprising I served in the military under Reagan, very proudly. I recall him getting shot and joking about it while on the gurney, his thunderously challenging Gorbachev to "bring down this wall" while at the same time winning Gorbachev over with his charm and his wit Bush the elder promised to not raise taxes but had to deal with the Dims, who forced him to raise taxes as a compromise with them, and then how the Dims used that against him in the next election I remember Bill Clinton going on air to point his finger at us and lie to our faces about lying under oath to save his sorry ass from being sued by one of the women he had sexually harassed, and how the "war on women" leftists bitterly attacked the all of the women he had assaulted And how all of that was misreported because of the side of the aisle Bill Clinton was on And of course W, who was hounded relentlessly by the media. Dan Rather even had to resign for making shit up... Bill Clinton handed W a burst bubble economy and plotting 9/11 terrorists, and Clinton also handed W an ongoing hot conflict with Iraq. Every leftist on Capitol Hill had voiced grave concern about Saddam Hussein including both Clintons, Kerry, Gore, Reid, Pelosi, etc etc etc, and even voted to go in and yet when the WMDs had been moved to Syria before they could be discovered it had all been Bush's idea from the beginning to liberate the Iraqi people, and it was called "a war crime.." Of course I know Obama, and his racist spiritual adviser "the reverend" Jeremiah Wright, and all of the scandals that basically go unreported, and how the media carries the sorry lying bastard And I learned about all of the other presidents in school. Don't they teach history any more?
