I learned that I like 3 in the morning. There's something about 3AM. It's peaceful, quiet, people are asleep and you can feel the dawn approaching, like a big day beginning or something. A perfect time to just take a walk or a long drive.

Today I (re)learned that stuff is just stuff, but people are what is important. (relearned this after looking at photos of a friend's house still unliveable from Katrina - but his family and friends all escaped)

Bluebird The devastation from both of those hurricanes is horrific... I live where Rita hit hard...coming back after the storm....was in one word......humbling. It will be years and years in rebuilding the gulf coast.

Today I learned..(well, last night) not to eat pepperoni before bed...no matter how much your roommate tempts you... cause then you will be up till 5 am with tummy burn. ouch

Today I learned that when they say to put three inches between the oatmeal lace cookies on the baking sheet, they really mean three inches or you'll end up with one big cookie, rather than twelve separate ones. Ooops!
