Today I learned that my older sister has Cerebral Palsey at the age of 40 that should have been caught when the other result of oxygen deprivation in the birth canal was diagnosed.

...that i have lost all track of the weeks over the summer, and that the youth group i run has its first meeting back tonight and i am totally unprepared! last night, however, i learned that i love being tied to a st. andrew's cross and spanked, caned and flogged by a (professional) stranger whilst my girlfriend watches - in public! yup, fetish clubs are definitely for me!

i learned who started the 'popped collar' trend. it was rene lacoste, he popped it during tennis matches to block his neck from the sun. i also learned that beers are grouped in packs of six because it was believed that was the maximum amount the average housewife could tote around at the grocery store.

Today I learned there really ARE generous people in the world when a stranger gave me a ride to the airport when I was late and couldn't get a cab - and when I offered to pay for gas, she just smiled and told me to do a favor for someone else.

Today I learned that I have a connection in the district office where I put in my management application who is more than hapy to bump me up in the standings because when she needed a hand earlier this year, I volunteered a bunch of my time for her. DV

G'morning all: This morning, I learned a valuable lesson. No matter how much someone says they care about you, if it's not convenient to them or serves their purpose, they can't be relied on in a pinch. A lapse in judgment I won't make again. Perhaps I should be happy I learned this early on rather than farther down the road. shrugs Life goes on. p.s. - Thank you to the OP for this thread. I had 4 potential subs and 1 who was under serious consideration agree to help me move. Not a lot of stuff, as I've only recently moved to TO...maybe 2-3 pickup loads. With everyone helping, it would've taken maybe two hours. Only 1 showed, and he had already specified that he could only help for 3hrs or so. Cue me...moving alone. Cue 4 subs...being kicked to the curb. ------------ ETA: Today I learned sleeping in is good.
