I guess I just don't understand why the OP would see someone wanting their clit whipped as a sign of mental instability and would like some clarity.

I agree with the mini flogger, light leather instruments. My partner enjoys having hers lightly to moderately slapped by hand or the leather "slapper" in our toy collection. A nice "thuddy" flogger applied from beneath while she's on hands and knees is also a favorite. Nothing severe, just a nice steady light/ moderate swing is preferred.
