hi i've been a member of collarspace for many years and there are actually a lot of Dom (esp female) stating that they are for money and tribute around their personal ''profile''. It is something I don't understand. In my opinion, the practice of BDSM is a lifestyle, but not a business. The Dom wants the slave because he/she can serve and give enjoyment to the Dom, while the slave should do what his/her master/mistress wants, but not be in a state of actually receiving fun and joy from his/her Dom because of the money.

As a slave, I don't think there is slave who wants a paid Dom. It is not because we are mean and don't want to pay. It is because we don't want a fake Dom. I hope Collarspace would think about banning Dom/Sub who is asking for tribute. They are not necessarily fake, they could be real, but I know most of them do not actually enjoy the process, they are just for money. It is easy to understand.

While it may seem unsavory or outright offensive to some, "financial domination" (and I have a very solid reason for putting that in the quotes...) does have its place under the sun. Besides that, let's not judge others' kinks... if we go down that road, where do we stop? It's fine to say you don't want to participate in it personally, but asking/telling the community that an activity is "wrong" and should be "punished" is... not going to be looked upon kindly.

Oh, and here's another angle.

Some people may not be aware of the finer points of the D/s relationship. Money is the symbol of their submission, since they don't have the emotional gifts to give.
Some people may just be too busy and looking to let off steam, and again, this is a shortcut to symbolize submission.
And, well, some people are just suckers. It takes all kinds to make the world, you know.

Let's deconstruct this statement. You don't think there is a slave who wants a paid Dom.

Because whether or not slaves want paid dominants, there are lots of people who just want their kink their way and are more than happy to pay for the privilege. These people are too busy masturbating to care whether or not you consider their interactions valid.

(And of course, the people who think handing over money is hot... but it seems a lot of users of this site are unable to comprehend people getting turned on by something that doesn't do it for them)

I personally don't like feet. I think they look weird a lot of the time. I HATE people touching my feet. The only time it happens is during a pedi and I don't find it particularly relaxing, I just suck at paintings toes. The idea of someone rubbing, kissing, touching my feet or getting off to images of them disgusts me. I just hate feet. When I receive messages that give an in depth description of what someone wants to do to my feet, I get repulsed. Is it possible to ban foot fetishes on the entire site? Ya know bc collar space completely caters to my needs and wants alone. And just bc I don't like something that obviously means no one else does either right?

If they were to ban every fetish or kink some people don't like or agree with, wouldn't we all be banned? I don't like everything others are into, not everyone is going to like what I'm into.

I'm in 100% agreement with ThePrincessKali and her hatred of having her feet touched. Any type of foot touching done to me or me touching his feet is a hard limit of mine so should foot fetish folks be banned because I hate it and would find it repulsive if it were done to me?

If you don't like what someone has in their profile, it's very simple, block it and move on from it.

I'll join in on this bandwagon. I can tolerate it, but would prefer if my feet not get messed with.

Just like a humiliation fetish, I would only be indulging my sub if that's what he were into. (Per my Neutral Zone)

There are all kinds of activities, whether BDSM-related or not, that squick me out. But for the most part, I keep my opinions to myself.
Plenty of folks are not into things I'm into, or who can do it to my liking.
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
