Well, this certainly does highlight one of the flaws in the "pass it to find out what's in it" approach, doesn't it?

Meanwhile, I found something to like in the law today. It seems an awful lot of welfare fraud is getting exposed in the requirement that the subsidized have turn in their tax returns. It seems LOTS of baby daddies who can't be bothered to support their sperm donations have been claiming the EITC on them all the same.

Democrats and unintended consequences...

Damn! Who lit the "all trolls on deck" sign...

This OP is a 'troll' as the whole idea of subsidies from the feds can only go through state exchanges is ridiculous on its face and just another grasping at straws by the right, this time...from the court.

Let me tell you that concerning today's' right, the founding fathers of conservatism in America are spinning in their fucking graves. All we get is shit like this...partisan spin and it's even being regurgitated from the right wing on the court. I guess they are trying to take their cues from the SCOTUS.

Most on the right today not only couldn't recite the bill of rights but now couldn't even give you conservatism's founding principals.

If the right today had a real problem with the ACA then it would pass a federal bill prohibiting hospitals from giving ER care to the uninsured. But with that, they and their ignorant sycophants could no longer go the the ER get it for 'free' making those who are paying their own way...pay for it. The free loading right would be up in arms.

Now they actually have to go out and get their own insurance then shoot themselves in the foot (brains) voting for repub govt, who deny the poor their medicaid and now...their very subsidies that would provide it. Without these subsidies, the life expectancy of the poor right would get shorter. That's just how stupid they are.

Maybe the left should leave well enough alone.

C'mon down to the not-so-pretty part of SoCal one of these days, Lucy. I'll be happy to drop you off in my old neighborhood, and you can take a survey.

Why not free government everything

(Yes, I am sure that all the founders ever dreamed of was the day that leftist politicians would maintain power by using the power of the IRS to buy votes)

Well, Lucy, California carries roughly 1/3 of the national TANF (welfare) caseload, even though we are only about 12% of the total US population. Pick your poison. I suppose I could run you out to where they released the Pillowcase Rapist, if you'd like.

You're just trolling. you don't actually have any good ideas. In fact you are just of dupe of the right wing blogs you quote.

Funny thing is, you claim to be a dominant, but you slavishly repeat things the media feed you. These people have taken over your mind and control your thoughts.

It feels so good, doesn't it? You kn ow it's right for you. You have this incredible urge to tell everyone about the ideas someone else has put into your head. It's easy to see you make no attempt to think for yourself, all the stuff you write shows up in my facebook feed a few hours or days before you publish it here.

Since it was a wholly republican idea, this individual income tax, I think that the unintended consequences are on republicans.

you mean that everyone on tanf is defrauding the govmnt because the childrens fathers are claiming EITC ? hmmmmm. how much do you suppose is actually going towards their offspring. If as you claim they aren't supporting them.
Your figures sound" skeery" until you look up the breakdown of figures.
btw do you have a link for all this welfare fraud being exposed??
Id like to see it for myself.

Id rather the children get the medical help they need. Of course sperm donors dont need the medical treatment that the sperm recipients do, should it become a viable human being.

Actually, it looks to me like Rich is claiming that the sperm donors who aren't supporting their children yet still claiming EITC are defrauding the government, not just TANF recipients.

The fraud that is showing up is showing up because those getting subsidies are having to show their tax returns. Rich even stated that he liked that about the ACA.

Go figure. You can't even allow someone who opposes something to find anything likable in it without twisting it and trying to use it against him.

You're beneath a reply really, though I will make an exception to point out that one thing that trolls (such as yourself) are known for is attacking the poster or "the messenger" rather than the topic or the idea

LMAO the irony....

I get what he said, dumbarse, I can ask for more information, I can ask for clarification, I can give my opinion because, his personal attitudes about his scapegoats have been around a lot longer than you so excuse me for laughing at your attempt of
twisting what I said around and ignoring my questions is the pot calling the kettle grimy arse.

I would still like to see for MYSELF (note that word) the linkage for the information.

how long have recipients of medicare had to show their tax returns?
HOw many of these people in rich's examples are using "the ACA exchanges or insurance plans" as opposed to medicare, even EXPANDED medicare. I want to see facts and figures, not claims by idiots on a forum. something verifiable, to educate MYSELF< *gasp what a concept*
so, frankly dear you can sit and spin*holding up my middle finger*

your bizzaro world of lies is not a message, and you are not a messenger. she pointed out you dont have any good ideas.

Look at your sigline. reality is the nutsackers...your non-existant tea party is not living within our means, they have been spending trillions we don't have for a long time now, and insuring our eventual ruin.

Ensuring. They don't care for insuring, which costs money.

Yet, you didn't question him on that. You asked

That wasn't what he was saying at all.

1. Medicaid was expanded, not Medicare.
