The old guys were the guys to beat, and now at 55, I'm the guy to beat. Everyone's shooting for/at me. (Like I was shooting for/at them). It's nice to know that I covered my butt but, it's rather striking....I guess I never expected it (kinda dumb actually)....that they'd come shooting for me. It's actually kind of fun but, it's also a wake up call....I've only got 5 - 10 years left and then....it's their game. The next generation....and...have at it. It's kind of fun actually....little bit of a battle but, one I'll likely lose because....I'm happy to launch my sailboat and have a nice ride :)

If you're really happy with where you are at 55, that's very unusual and you are right to be consciously enjoying it. Best of luck with your mate search to complete the picture.
